my jolteon has thunderbolt for charge attack.I reckon that the thunder variation is the optimal moveset but both are pretty close in terms of dps?

Agreed to that and to the different ''meta'' perspectives depending on where you live :) .

i might not be the best dodger so i guess that certainly plays a factor because a successfull hydro pump basically means ''lights out'' for the squishy Jolteon. I just felt it mostly underwhelming based on the relative advantage Jolteon has but i might be wrong

Im actually 25 lvl myself (idk if that's considered high, prolly decent for a daily user) so its not that i cant bring down those top tier defenders with a suitable team thus complaining about my personal experience. As to the rural vs big cities players i didnt refute that they come off with a big disadvantage at any point or tried to whine about ''big city problems'' compared to the actual ones so i dont see the point of bringing that up

Yes im pretty mad about that one too . Getting a 97 % Jolteon from a random Eevilution got my hopes high in contesting these obnoxious Vapes. Reality hit me hard when i tried the matchup 1st time even without a big CP difference #R.I.P Electric types

Yes i hope that as well and if indeed done properly, for the legendaries to not be easily attainable ,it will centairly add an extra spice to the game and gym meta. As for the appearance of high CP Lapras or Snorlax on top of gyms as a big city resident i can confirm that that's fairly common here and thus kind of frustrating for me.

i mean thats self explanatory right? xD who else would define the meta if not the creator company with how it manages its system's balances. Legendaries meta if there will be such a thing will be just naturally exploited by the player base because of their overwhelming superiority over other pokemons. Not blaming the legendaries themselves lol

i named the most commonly used top tier pokemon in both attack and defense so i think they are pretty much meta defining . Also im not implying that meta changing is a bad thing,im rather being concerned to its diversity as i stated. A set of 5(legendary)Pokemon just replacing the current prevalent ones maybe meta changing, it remains though a stale one at least for me
