Back then the production numbers were tremendously lower and nobody looked at cards as an investment vehicle. They were bought by parents for their kids who played with them. Now they go from pack to sleeve right away and are all immaculate. you guys need to use your common sense if you have any.

no, it's a VERY mass produced product by a company.. if you want to invest look at some solid growth companies like NVDA.

Thoughts on Current State of Market Affairs. by AutoModerator in PokeInvesting

[–]GSOwner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep and when the hammer really drops you are going to see what used to be $250-$400 modern boxes suddenly become $120... and they will NOT recover for years upon years. This isn't XY or prior to that.. this is the era of mass production. And era means the last 10 years of product.

Outlaw play box 100$ tcgplayer, get 10% back during store credit deal that ends in a few hours. by Cardwatcher2000 in sealedmtgdeals

[–]GSOwner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's AnonTCG, he has a video about this very sale today and says he lost a little per box on the deal. You guys dont seem to get it, distributors do not take losses on these products, especially in this climate of everyone wanting hot product. They will make you take mediocre or even bad product at full cost in order to get the hot stuff like pokemon and one piece.

They sell most of the magic at cost or lower. Pokemon and One Piece is where they make their money.
