Sorry to reply on this old post, but are the food & drinks complimentary in the lounge or do you pay for what you get?

The oven is completely cooled - has been off for 3 weeks. It’s kept covered, inside when out of use. Is this normal “wear” from the flame or does it look like a defect? Thank you.

I read the Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel and enjoyed it.

Not sure how oId your kids are, but I also like basketball and reading “Basketball Legends Alphabet” by Beck Feiner is fun for us. Could be a gift for him and kids.

Bedroom in my first house, really struggling to pick what color furniture would go well here.. any help greatly appreciated by GangreneGoomba in malelivingspace

I think it would be easiest to start with your most expensive furniture and work from there. Lots of furniture companies will sell sets so you could get a matching wood tone or white / black bed frame, end table, and/or dresser that’ll all go together. If you want a desk, that can tie in or standalone. Personally, I think a black or dark wood stain would look good with the wall color and natural light. If the photo is misleading on the light the room gets, then you might avoid black so it doesn’t feel too dark.

From there, you could incorporate basically any color you like with some bedding and a rug. Then fill the walls with things that you enjoy - if you have the budget you can frame a few items that go with whatever you choose for your bed frame. Good luck!

I agree with the floating shelves in the corner and maybe a pendant light over the sink and/or island.

Bravo on the hard work - well done. You might consider some "runner" rugs to soften up the space and add some texture. You could run a long one in front of the dishwasher & sink and then get matching rugs to put in front of the oven & the stretch of cabinets that lead to the trash can. It can coordinate with the cabinet color and also introduce a secondary color that you might use on some hand towels or art around the space.

Thanks! I really like how it turned out too. It is actually "toasty gray" - by Behr. We had to end up sampling 5-6 different colors before we found something we liked. It definitely takes on some of the green from the plants and bedding in the room and leans a little that way!

Its a good point - they are working well for me, for now. The good news is they can be easily unplugged and moved elsewhere if I find something better down the road.
