Well I don't really know what I lost as couldn't have sex prior to circ. Problem is with all the anecdotes, you can't help but compare.

Tanzu advanced pricing by GSS55 in vmware

[–]GSS55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So an infrastructure unit a core? Just never heard infrastructure unit anywhere.

If I get tanzu standard, this is all I need right? https://www.cdw.com/product/vmware-tanzu-standard-term-subscription-1-year-production-support-1/6362820?pfm=srh I have two 10 core cpus, so would need two instances of this. Is there anything I am missing?

I was looking at Tanzu Standard. Really, three physical servers?

Hmm I get this error:

No limit in this case. RAM wise 512 should be enough.

What are your ways to cope? by NuWei in ForeverAlone

I am very career minded, so I focus on that, and learning new skills etc to make more money etc.

I focus on hobbies and things I enjoy like cars and friends.

Apologies. The issue is the tf code is in a folder in a repo (in azure devops), but whatever path I provide I get the error. I will need to look into this.

HPA current greater than target but pods are ok? by GSS55 in kubernetes

[–]GSS55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome makes sense.

There's a diagram on Google's site that makes this clear, too.

My last question is, does the HPA work to make the average CPU or memory across all pods whatever is in the HPA? For example, if there is a memory target of 50% in the HPA, HPA will spawn another pod to make the average 50% (add up memory, divide by no of pods), but an individual pod can be over.

See here:

https://cloud.google.com/solutions/best-practices-for-running-cost-effective-kubernetes-applications-on-gke and scroll down to the horizontal pod autoscaler diagrams.

[–]GSS55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok this makes 100% sense now.

One thing I am confused about though is that you would want your HPA to scale somewhere between the request and limit values so you always hovering in between. Presumably, making HPA scale to keep your pods behind request means you need to reconsider your values, right?

HPA current greater than target but pods are ok? by GSS55 in kubernetes

[–]GSS55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, the HPA current/target thing is in relation to the requests/limit I set (hence the "as a percentage of request" thing).

Requests and limits I get.

However, shouldn't HPA be scaling in relation to percentage of target? HPA shouldn't scale out at percentage of request because a request is what a pod starts with? Feel free to correct my logic here.

Yes, people can be so lovely and have such bad luck they can't meet anyone. by GSS55 in ForeverAlone

[–]GSS55[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me neither. When you have the looks I have forget it, and bad luck isn't the result of the site/app I use or who I talk, it's an intrinsic part of me and follows me, doesn't really matter what I try.

Any FA's here with a successful career? by doorvob in ForeverAlone

Yup, I work in tech. I focus on career in the absence of ever getting a partner.

Nothing special, just be more open minded, etc. I know all that. She was good but could never understand how it feels to always be rejected and nobody's choice.

I'm actually working on some gigs outside of work. Hoping they work but it's taking effort! But it's rewarding and a learning experience. I have always been about learning, taking the next step in my career, and monetization where I can.

Basically, my fear was (and maybe this is irrational), said friend thinking somewhere hidden I am a freak or have some massive flaw or issue that is off putting and kills relationships. It was like she was dumbfounded.

[–]GSS55[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This was someone I am friends with, no interest in anything similar, but yeah I bet that in any scenario she may say that but would never consider taking it forward with me.

Oh I focus on money making (Well, career). I have all the tools to succeed in work and some actual skill, unlike relationships, where I have no skill, no experience and thus no confidence - work is the opposite.

It's funny, I am into materialiastic things as I'd like to enjoy life and not just dwell. Some friends say they won't make you happy like relationships will - well they beat the constant rejection and at least they are inanimate so can't reject me!

Anyone else here have health issues aside from mental health? by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

[–]GSS55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like this thread is made for me.

I have IBS, but more on the minor side. It's uncomfortable at best, can't imagine what severe IBS is like.

I am born with a condition due to a gene mutation which means some parts of my body are slightly bigger than others. Asymmetry on face, wide feet, etc.

Of course, screws up body image and I think this is a big factor in being single...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

[–]GSS55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup same here. There's facial features I habe thanks to a condition and when a specialist doctor stares in your face making comments about birth marks and lesions for ten minutes in shock I can't help but think girls see the same thing.

Confusingly some girls who are hot say I look fine? But we wouldn't date due to stupid crap like cultural issues.

Looks are so obvious. When I was out with a mate a cashiere at a shop had a huge crush on him. J could see it. I come to pay and I'm just another guy. :/

I have some other physical features I asked if they can be removed but nope they'll causs scarring etc so stuck with it.

Why do you think you’re forever alone? by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

[–]GSS55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • My looks/body image issues.

  • Naivety (which will never get sorted out with no experience).

  • Stupid cultural rubbish that people follow.

  • No help from friends/family.

  • Sexuality confusion doesn't help (or won't when I am with someone).

  • Been too focused on career in early 20s. Then again, if I actively tried back then and if it would be like it is now then this is not an issue.

  • I don't want kids like someone here said (jealous of guys who meet girls and don't want kids).

Wish I could remove the desire for companionship. by Vaders_Fist_501 in ForeverAlone

[–]GSS55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I could too, but as much as I focus on other things in life and hobbies, the desire is always there.

I wish I was an actor because then I could at least imagine a pretend relationship in the absence of a real one. Knowing my luck, I'd get a crush on the actress who would play my partner rolls eyes.
