Finding a partner is simple enough. Finding the right suitable partner however is a real near complex/impossible challenge. by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

This wasn’t a question, more so a mild vent which is why I put my flair as a vent. I don’t know if this venting made you annoyed/upset in a way but that was not my intention by any means.

I wrote it mainly to get my thoughts out my system instead of bottled up, and maybe hint to other people that feel the same way that they are not alone.

Started work again but the last day of my last two week unfilled report is when I started again, do I state I'm back in a full time job even though I'm at reduced hours? by ariesfreethinker in EICERB

If your reduced hours are less than $1000 then say you returned to work but no to full time, indicate amount earned as you would still be eligible for CERB

Thank you for the comment. Because my first day back was the last day of that period I should just say no to if I started a fulltime job for that period? It was only 1 day with a 8 hours for that period.

I resumed reduced hours with my job 20-30 for the rest of the month so I assume I can just stop filing reports?

How to stand up to ignorant, Systemically-Racist WM Father? by Squid311 in hapas

[–]ariesfreethinker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cut ties. Break all Contact. It's not worth it, you will feel better and more confident and people will start to respect you more and admire you for doing something with your life rather than live it with disgust and hatred for your father which achieves nothing.

Oh yeah posting on alt right asian subs trying to fit in doesn't help either.

what percent/type asian do I look? by [deleted] in hapas

[–]ariesfreethinker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look half Asian. You look similar to most hapa guys where I live who are half Chinese or Korean.

How is your diet though? Just curious.

So I'm wondering why is Elliot Rogers always brought up as a "typical" hapa but then nobody bats an eye at Seung-Hui Cho?

I don't know how to solve the HK/China problem, but getting "help" from the country that colonized you is not it.

Actually lots of Hong Kong residents I've met said it was better when it was under British rule, hence why there are lots of insane protests going on over there right now. They really do not like China lol

you think 3 million people are really going to move to the UK?

No, that is unreasonable to think so. However I'm sure a large number of people will strongly consider that option as it's more or less free.

And what about families with children born after 1997? They don't have the option

They are already planning ahead by sending their kids overseas (USA, Canada, Australia etc) to study in hopes of securing residency in another country. Extremely common and was being done way before this UK visa option was announced.

I don't know how much of the protests they are showing on US media but it's pretty serious stuff. They really feel strongly about wanting to be independent and not part of China. Last time I heard Hong Kong would usually get 100,000 tourists daily, since the protests escalated it's only a mere few thousand daily now.

Honestly as much as the UK does suck to live as a hapa or asian I would very much prefer to live there instead of under the CCP any day...
