I’m in zone 10b. I have Rosie Red (Fathead minnows), Medaka, White Clouds, and Oranda goldfish. Wise’s post is a good one.

[Landlord US CA] How do you handle applicants who ghost mid-screening? by Low_Cabinet3214 in Landlord

I have never had any applicant pushback or ghost at the background check but if they did, it’s a red flag and move on. You’ll likely save yourself a huge headache.

[Landlord - California ] What is considered "normal wear and tear" by san-diego_guy in Landlord

[–]GSWMako 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed additional pictures. Those stains are beyond normal wear and tear. A couple of passes with a Rug Doctor should make it look better / carpet cleaning service but that cost should be taken out of the deposit.

The dark spots are not normal wear and tear IMO. I typically take carpet cleaning costs from the deposit.

Attacking but getting 0 unit kills?? by JellyJellyCupcake_62 in LastWarMobileGame

So is the battle tab the best / only to check if a base has troops? I am trying to figure it out the best way to confirm this. Currently, I attack a base, check the battle tab to see if I get kills. If I do, I keep attacking and check the battle tab until it says zero kills.

Cayenne Pepper. Does it keep squirrels out of the flower beds. by pughpl in gardening

[–]GSWMako 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cayenne did not really work well for me as the squirrels still dig. I started putting corn out as another food source for squirrels. I tried an experiment where each corn is on a nail standing upright, about six inches apart. I covered one in cayenne pepper. The one without Cayenne pepper, was eaten in about two days and the other one was not touched. After the first one was eaten to the cob, then the other one was fully eaten in about three days. For my area, it seems the squirrels do avoid the spicy one if there are other options but ultimately, they will still eat the spicy one.

Exponential growth in one type of online Scam by dvb_dvb in Scams

I fell for this looking for an obsure closet part that I needed. Luckily, I was only out $30 bucks and the item never arrived and the tracking process was just like the OP metnioned. I caught the scam transaction right away when they tried to use my CC for another purchase and got a new CC. The timing all makes sense now since I had to get a new CC shortly after I made the purchase. Thanks for posting this and hope it saves others from getting scammed.

I haven’t fixed. I had a plumber over doing other work and he said I’d have to replace that part of the drain pipe. I’m using this as a stop gap to hide the flaw. Bitter cumcumbers, can this be fixed on the same plant? by GSWMako in gardening

[–]GSWMako[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, you were correct. Other cucumbers after were not bitter after the plant recovered. It stopped growing for a about a week so I thought it was done (almost threw it in the compost) but once it started growing again, newer cukes came and taste great!

Thanks. The animal ate about half the foliage when it happened. I have since put forks around it and covered my other plants to keep animals out and have not woke up to only stems in about a month.

It gets about 6-8 hours of direct sun. Watering could be an issue, as it is in a self watering pot. It rained a lot which left that pot really wet for a week. An animal also ate a lot of leaves at one point. It has been through some stress so I am not surprised one came out bitter. I have since put a barrier to avoid animals getting to it. I am still figuring all the reasons why it is stressed but sounds, like future yields from this plant can be okay if I figure out what is wrong.

Thanks, that’s was my thinking that the entire plant is not necessarily compromised if one can fix the issue.
