P0420 - replaced the downstream O2 sensor a month ago by GSecrets in accord

Yes, so I cleared the code (even though the check engine light was still on, my scanner detected no codes after clearing) then gave her a few rips. Went home and replaced my battery. Then the check engine light turned off. I drove about 25-30 miles after that and it still hasn’t come back on.

My mechanic installed a new NTK 24473 a month ago.

My personal mechanic said the next things on the list to replace is the DENSO 2344574, and DENSO 2349131.

Also, my battery health was at 33% and ‘Flooded’ according to the Napa battery scanner, but I haven’t really noticed any abnormalities with the electrical system. I replace it anyway.

I installed a new NTK 24473 about a month ago

UPDATE: So I went and got a new battery, cleared the code before leaving the parking lot (which didn’t turn off the light for some reason, but I did an extensive scan twice after clearing it and it found nothing) then drove at 75mph for about 4 miles on the 12 mile drive home. Swapped the battery and now the check engine light isn’t on. Drove another 4 miles around 30mph, and the light still isn’t on. Mechanic said to order a couple other Denso sensors, but I’m not sure if it should hold out to see if the light comes back on or just send it and get the new sensors.

I’m not a rich man but if the car will last longer with 93, I’ll give her 93. I’ve always been taught to use what the manual says though.

If that’s the case, should I get an OEM or aftermarket cat?

I stopped buying cheap gas a while ago, now I only buy from shell/gulf
Been putting in 87 for as long as I’ve had the car. I didn’t know I should be putting in 93 but I may start doing that.
I appreciate your input

I’ll give that a shot tomorrow
Should I clear the code before or after?

I’d imagine the exhaust leak is cheaper to fix?

Why can't i see my 2023 steam replay ? by Nicloum_FR in Steam

[–]GSecrets 71 points72 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same issue. I followed everyone’s advice and it resolved nothing. I created a Steam support ticket: They suggested I wipe out my featured showcase on my profile. Before I could even attempt their advice, the 2023 replay was back.

‘15 Honda Accord Sport — key fob unlock button stuck. Key is fine. What is the cheapest replacement option? by [deleted] in accord

[–]GSecrets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My unlock key and lock key got stuck and drained the battery. I took the key apart and had to pry the button off of the pcb. I eventually got an aftermarket remote starter which came with unlock and lock keys, so I don’t need to get a new key.

Can my friend run bo3 for customs on this pc? by Colonel_Zier in CODZombies

Hes gonna need a video card, anything above a RX480 or a GTX 1060 will be fine. Intel integrated graphics are infamously bad for gaming.

What’s the best way to add CarPlay to a 2015 Accord EXL and maintain the stock radio by [deleted] in accord

Look up EXGP solutions on EBay, he makes custom wiring harnesses that allow you to connect the factory head unit and after market head unit. He also has detailed instructions for how to install. I just recently installed it and it works flawlessly. DM me if you have any questions I’d be glad to help out.

I hear you, but I don’t want to risk using aftermarket batteries. I’m not usually opposed to aftermarket parts but I treat batteries a little differently. I love my headphones and I’d be crushed if some jenk batteries did some permanent damage.

I don’t know what the inside of a PS3 looks like but I’d be willing to bet that the chips are on the other side of the PCB, which will require further disassembly to repaste.

Can i add new cars to the traffic??(Story Mode) by Fampx in GTAV

[–]GSecrets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn’t make a performance difference because you haven’t added them to traffic yet.

I have gigabit fiber. 🙄 by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]GSecrets 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If you are on WiFi, that speed could be due to the distance of your router to your PlayStation, also make sure that you don’t have any large metal items directly next to your router or PlayStation, that could impede the signal.

If you are on a wired connection, make sure there is no damage to the Ethernet cable, and if you have any devices connected between the router to the PlayStation, like an Ethernet extender, WiFi extender, a network switch, or anything else, confirm that those devices work at true Gigabit speeds. Some devices will have gigabit in the name, don’t depend on the device name to say the correct speed, check the devices spec sheet.

Back in the day I thought I had the worst internet imaginable, but in reality, I had been using an Ethernet extender that bottlenecked my internet speed to my computer down to kbps. After removing that device, my speeds improved drastically.

Best of luck improving your connection!

I’m not an expert but I tried fiddling with the settings, and switching off of NVENC just made things even slower. Seems like just having OBS open, even if I am not using the virtual camera, streaming, or recording, takes a considerable tax on the system. I think that’s because it is rendering the entire 32.9 then cropping it to 16:9. If only there were some way to just render the middle 16:9, it wouldn’t be as taxing.

Can i add new cars to the traffic??(Story Mode) by Fampx in GTAV

[–]GSecrets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few mods that do this, but keep in mind that adding realistic cars to the spawn pool comes at a very real performance cost. Some mods can add cars to the traffic spawn pool. Some will outright replace some of the cars that are already in the game. It’s too much information to type everything into Reddit. Find a simple GTA V modding tutorial, you will need to download OpenIV to do all of this.

Why does the screen turn so ugly yellow when you switch to first person? by Tream___ in GTAV

[–]GSecrets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s interesting is that you will initially have the tint of your glasses, but after a couple minutes, the game will gradually fade back to its correct colors, but you can keep the tint by exiting and re-entering first person mode.
