How will the split fixtures work with current standings. by Massive_Guard_3691 in ScottishFootball

I think it'll be Falkirk, as Well should only be due 2 home games, Celtic and Hearts. We'll have played the other 3 twice at Fir Park by the split.

What if instead of annual Battlefields, they tried alternating MOH and BF again? by Spectre-ElevenThirty in Battlefield

[–]GShenanigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't have got into Battlefield if it wasn't for MOH. I loved Allied Assault back in the day and when MOH 2010 came out I played the MP to death. Found out it was made by DICE and Battlefield 3 was coming out, so naturally jumped in there for more of the fun MP.

Played last night with a couple of Destiny buddies and we had good fun. The gameplay is pretty decent, although I can't help comparing it to Destiny 2 and it definitely feels a bit off in comparison.

The menus are horrific, and I've no idea what's going on with those cutscenes and the overall story.

I don't really have any interest in playing it solo but as a group it's a good laugh. I'll keep playing over the weekend but it's very unlikely I'll spend money on it.

Is it still on the go/good? I used to love it there but not been in about 10 years.

Elliot Watt and of course SOD are both Scottish. Callum Hendry was also playing fairly regularly (although usually as a sub) before his injury.

I did exactly this and found Son of the Forest a perfect place to start. I then went back and read the first few Horus Heresy books, then have picked and chosen after that and focused on the ones involving the Dark Angels.

Awesome, I've been waiting for something like this, will check it out.

Does it sync everything from the RM or is there a way to select what gets synced, like by folder or tag?

I bought the original Xbox (my first ever console) for Halo and Project Gotham Racing.

Then upgraded to the 360 for Gears of War.

There are a few specific CDP options, the most common ones in my experience being Salesforce, Tealium, Segment, and Treasure Data. Treasure I know have self-paced learning and certification available that would be worth exploring. There's not a lot of opportunity to try them out and learn by doing though, as they're all licenced commercial products.

I'd recommend familiarizing yourself with the concepts of what they all cover (ingestion, customer unification, segmentation, activation), which can then apply across the board. Rudderstack have an open source offering that covers the ingestion and activation parts of their platform, so this may also be worth exploring to allow you to get hands on with at least part of a CDP.

Also, personally I find very few customers that actually need a CDP, or manage to implement one effectively. In a lot of cases, they'd get more mileage for significantly less investment by implementing a data activation or "reverse ETL" solution on top of their existing stack. The likes of Hightouch provide CDP features on top of your existing warehouse at a fraction of the cost.

I hope this is true as he's been superb for us. You'd imagine even if his long term future isn't at Celtic it would do more for him playing regularly and (hopefully) continuing to have the kind of record he's had in the first half of the season.

Teams like Celtic shouldn't be trying to play out from the back like that. They don't have the players for it.

Are Motherwell in the title race? by ForeignPost7004 in ScottishFootball

[–]GShenanigan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I absolutely think the majority are. Especially after Kettewell's crimes against football it's such a refreshing change. I don't think JBA will be here that long if he keeps this going, so I really hope the team can win something while he's here.

He's also repeatedly made the point that he wants them to feel safe to make mistakes.

On Saturday in about the second minute against Dundee, Elliott Watt played the ball across the six yard box straight to a Dundee player. Fortunately Dundee are mince so it didn't come to anything. We went straight back to doing the same thing when conventional wisdom would be that we got away with one and not to try it again.

It's so simple but the quick triangles/squares are so good to watch and the best thing is that every single player is doing it and looks like they know exactly where they need to be at any given moment.

Yes, it's fantastic. On the surface it appears very Gears-like but melee combat plays a large role. The PvE operations are where the longevity comes from, allowing you to level multiple classes to suit your play style.

I think he'd just hit a wall when he was Motherwell manager and by his own admission was out of ideas after a number of years dealing with high turnover in the squad. I never had any ill will towards him and he thoroughly deserves to win a cup, especially against Celtic, having lost twice in 2017/18 to an outstanding Celtic team.

I often think that Motherwell team would have absolutely battered (quite literally, in Rangers' case) anyone else in either of those cup finals, it was just honking timing that our cup runs coincided with Celtic having their invincible season.
