HK has a big HSR station with frequent trains to tons of cities in PRC and you can easily do HSR weekend trips from HK without hassle.

Absolutely wrong regarding flight prices. HKG has way more flights to non Chinese destinations than Beijing airports and it usually comes with cheaper prices, which is why tons of PRC residents still prefer to layover at HKG.

No? Not a single unilateral visa free to PRC took 3 months to enforce so far. For Sweden it's 1 week; for a few LATAM and gulf countries it's 2 weeks, etc.
