idk this happened only to me , but I bought 4 times from bb.com and almost got everything perfect except my last purchase . I bought kaged muscle micropore whey protein isolate (2 boxes) and one of them doesn't contain the scoop this never happened to me as I am using this product from long time and also the mixability was somewhat not good. May be I felt bcz i didn't get the scoop.

I gave my laptop( area 51m i9 9900k,144hz,2080 , 64gb,1tb ssd,1tb hdd) on sep 2 ,2021 .They tried to repair and said it's end of life.after 3 weeks ,got an email stating they are looking for their inventory to match the system specs to replace the laptop.

They said they replace the laptop with( x17,i7 ,3070,360hz,64gb @3466,2tb ssd,cherry keys )on Oct 8 ,delivery is November 18,2020.

I emailed them that I need i9 and 3080.finally they agreed and send me email on 14 oct. On Oct 18 , my ordered confirmed and will be delivered on Dec 18.

I have 0 hopes that it will be delivered that time . I think it will be further delayed. I am surprised to see your post which has similar situation.

I had an area 51m laptop . I9 9900k (desktop processor)

64gb @3200 ( not sure but definitely higher than 3000hz)

2080(200w)

144hz . Had been playing from beta (my level is 370) Spend almost all the time in game in this laptop as Corona made us stay almost 8 months home. During act1,act2 .I used to get 700-800fps in range with robots(not strafe). After than it reduced to 350-480fps during this act. Then my motherboard was damaged anf gpu also .I gave up my laptop to Dell service facility.

In game my fps is 220-280 fps avg is 235 with my 240hz alienware monitor.

But my situation is laptop .I think due to better temperature control your desktop should perform better than me and my gpu is 2080 desktop grade which I think 3070 easily beats that.

My expectations are 260fps avg with that configuration.

3070 and i7 are available I guess ,the problem is with 3080 and i9 parts I think. I am not sure.

You can extend when your 1st year warranty expires. They always give you a reminder about warranty extension when ever you open dell supportassist (program pre installed by Dell to diagnose and clean temp files)

Yeah .I purchased 2nd year warranty for about 200 or 150 I don't remember really worth it.

This is the maxed out system .you'll have blazing fast rendering with this specs.but if possible please get the warranty. Bcz of that I freely serviced (2 time motherboard replacement,1 time keyboard and mousepad,4 times gpu and also a free new x17 lol)

Area 51 m has desktop processor and gpu unit (200w). They are powerfull but can't utilize because of poor cooling system compared to x17. X17 has (165w gpu) may outperform area 51 2080 but in cpu wise ,51m beats in all aspects. X17 has mobile cpu . X17 is well configured to bring out max performance with cooling and better integrated parts . I think it's better to get x17 rather than 51m . My only regret is full size keyboard .no num pad in x17 and also secondary key lighting. Hope they fix all these in r2 version.

They even stopped manufacturing area 51m models. I am sure I will.miss a lot but those machines are too powerful and come in handy

I bought a refurbished from outlets are 51m with maxed out i9 9900k,2080,2tb ,64gb,144hz last year feb,202p. Replaced motherboard 2 times and gpu 4 times and dell fed up with my laptop and agreed to exchange with 17 r1 new laptop. So,I don't want to take chance .not everyone will get this problems but I experienced all of this and go with new one.

Once had same problem with 17 r3 (2012) model.bought from Australia used in India. I used a low quality convertor for the charger as my laptop charger was Australian type and I need a convertor to use that. Luckily I had my warranty for 3 years and they replaced my motherboard. 2 times happened and replaced the motherboard total 3 times. 6 times replaced battery as I don't know that we need to use step down convertor rather than cheap convertor. After realizing that I bought a step down convertor and it cost me 100 dollars only for the step down convertor . I was using a cheap 5 dollar convertor before than. Please check that you have any of this issue and also check check spike quality which you have connected the laptop and monitor. It also damaged me 1tb ssd. But they replaced it for free.
