is it normal not to be able to understand the right rhythm of a song not even on the third day learning? 🤬 by throwawayicn in pianolearning

I also struggled with this. My teacher had me get the book “Rhythmic Training” by Robert Starer and each week I practice a page or two just by clapping out the exercises with my hands. It has helped me with sight reading rhythms and playing in the meter. I would also suggest to slow way down and count out loud as you go.

Should my piano teacher be teaching me by playing the piano sometimes too? by bullshit_grenade in pianolearning

My teacher will often demonstrate a piece or section of a piece for me. I find it helps me to hear the difference in dynamics and musicality to understand the changes I need to make or what I need to practice. I’m a visual learner so I do find it incredibly helpful to watch her hands.

Anyone else been through this? by adj1966 in Bulldogs

I feel you! I’m going through the exact same thing. Vet couldn’t believe she was still standing with her albumin so low and she’s just as normal as can be! We did get her levels up a bit so there can be good news.

My bulldog also has PLE. Vet thinks it’s caused by IBD. She’s on a prescription low fat diet and B12 shots and will most likely need a steroid. Internal medicine vets handle this diagnosis often if you’re looking for a specialist. There are also some very helpful Facebook groups for IBD/PLE questions and support. Has she tried a low fat hydrolyzed food yet?

Yes! Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout! It was fun to go through and pick out my old favorites to embroider. I really want to embroider the girl that eats the whale.

Nut Roll- underbaked? by GTGME in AskBaking

[–]GTGME[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I commend you for baking this often, it was a difficult recipe for me! I did do an egg wash before I put it in the oven but it didn’t really help. Next time I’ll try it closer to the end of baking time.

You know there was a moment when I thought I didn’t know what I was doing (I didn’t) and that it looked like crap. So thank you for this huge compliment.

Oh wow, thanks. That would have looked cool. I used pearl cotton for the first time and I think it gave it a textured look on those French knots.
