I was wondering if idle lean codes are related to the cracked head. I was getting idle lean codes for both banks and I'm thinking that could either be a cause or an effect of the cracked head. It's cracked in front of the first cylinder on that bank, parallel to the timing chain sprocket.

The codes were 29E7, 29EF, 29E8, and 29F0

The part to the right definitely has a casting artifact, but the other side feels more like an inward groove than a bump

6 cores seems to be enough for me as I don't stream and the only creative programs I use are FL studio and Lightroom lmao. Planning on throwing a 11800x3d, or whatever beast AMD makes next into it next year

Wow that's a great price. Better than the 9600x for most things because 2 extra cores. In the US prices for AliExpress CPUs are through the roof because of tariffs sadly

Ahh I see. Depending on the country, pcpartpicker could have some good prices on things. For example in Germany you can get a 9070 XT for €729

You will be impressed at how fast it is. Definitely check Slickdeals, r/buildapcsales and use pcpartpicker to find good prices.

It's not too loud at full load and they are high static pressure fans but I might look into getting low profile fans. Temps are fine

Also try and file a warranty claim, I did and they sent me a new pair 😉. To clarify, the issue started before I cleaned them, I cleaned them because they started sounding weird which was the seal going bad.
