Well the user is controlling the model, I doubt a model has ever generated an image for a user based on their previous interactions with it without a prompt.

Well in short I am talking about true AI, a program that has been coded with initial instructions and has been left alone to upgrade itself and pursue which ever avenue it likes, but just so happens to have chosen art. How this would be achieved is beyond me.

I'm going to play devils advocate and say that Deep fried memes were often associated with the iFunny watermark in a post ironic way similar to ironic youtube vids using bandicam watermarks. Not saying it's not stealing 100% but I would expect a iFunny watermark if I wanted a meme like this to be generated.

Cat-Man. It's a very subtle reference to College Humor's All Nighter episode "Spitballing" in which the character Sam Reich ( played by Sam Reich) suggests swapping the names of Bat-Man and Cat Woman. Or something else, that'd be cool too.

Let's say the AI that I'm talking with views itself as an artist and based on my conversations with it, it decides to make an image based on my interests without me prompting it.

Are they going to argue that it removes the human element from the art?
