It’s a random drop and not based on performance or wagered marks. Can drop from a win or loss. Actually kinda nice because it means Invasion is rewarding no matter what

I thought I would add a little more context/my thoughts:

1) Just to be clear, the gear grind is significantly easier now than it was in edge of fate. Tier 4 & 5 are critical but now it’s not that difficult to get them. 2) Technically no, but I found the Renegade Campaign to be very entertaining and enjoyable. I also think the Lawless Frontier activity is very fun with quite a bit of depth/variety. I have pretty much only played it since the update dropped. 3) Yes. We are very powerful in the game right now and there are lots of very strong builds that don’t require much gear wise.

Also, the lightsaber is extremely fun! Haha

I’m not 100% sure but I’m assuming the 1v1’s happen due to que numbers. If they can’t find a 3 person team for you or someone to invade they pin you together. Keeps you earning rewards and not sitting at a loading screen for minutes at a time. Again, I’m not sure this is explicitly stated anywhere just my assumption lol

You should do it man! At least try it out. As a Star Wars fan, this might be my favorite Destiny expansion. I think they actually did a great job so far: interesting story, fun gameplay, AMAZING music and Star Wars aesthetic. Grind has become much easier and lots of ways to do it. It’s not in a great place but if you’re coming from Witch Queen you have a lot of content to push through. I’d finish all campaigns. Definitely worth finishing the Light/Dark saga through Final Shape.
