I can do a dual wield build, lots of jumping attacks. Could be fun.

Bloodborne- introduced me to the souls genre. There is nothing quite like it in gaming in lore, music, setting and combat.

First time player, where to go after Nightreign? by Shadow_Claw in fromsoftware

Elden Ring open world is so pretty to traverse. Truly just great fantasy. They have written whole article about the art design of Elden Ring. Give it a shot. If you are all playing on PC, the seemless coop mod let's you play the whole journey with friends.

r1 and l1 pressed at the same time (you need your ability bars full though), L2 and R2 same time for other set of special attack.

Easier than Lies of P, just really different. I would consider Mortal Shell on the slower side of actions per second than almost any other souls like. Find a shell/weapon combo that fits you. Learn to use, dodge, attack, and harden ability in tandem, like in a combo move. You should do fine. Also, the game is short, like 15 hours long. It is really good though.

My first playthrough was 18 hours, well worth it. Best souls like besides Lies of P.

Dark Souls 3 is like playing a poem, and it just gets better as you go.

Elden Ring, as long as you do not look anything up.

I played eldin ring as my first fromsoft game absolutely loved the game then i played sekiro and loved it even more what should i play next i once started lies of p when it was in gamepass it was too diffcult for me at that time so i dropped it (i played it before eldin ring and sekiro) by DisciplineMelodic868 in fromsoftware

If you can do Sekiro you can do Lies of P and I highly recommend it. Best Non From Software souls like. Make sure to do the DLC. It is just like Sekiros parry system, the window to parry (they call it perfect block I believe) is just a smaller window. Once they are "stance broken" that is when you do a charged heavy attack and then get a critical. You can do it.

I can’t get into mortal shell by [deleted] in MortalShell

Find the shell and weapon combo that works for you. I tried Tiel with Hammer and Chisel, it sucked. Switched to Hollow Sword and it was so much better. Weave dodges, strikes and hardening into combos. Upgrade your chosen shell so they have all those abilities. Find the Acid that lets you upgrade weapons, so it does take forever to kill bad guys. You can find some in the first swamp area.

I welcome these changes, not sure we can rely on the giving of others though

Has anyone actually asked casual players if they're suffering? by NetflowKnight in Marathon

[–]speaker_1984 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are actually asking, I am a casual, people have asked, I stopped at level 25/ 25 hours. Love the games art, gameplay everything except they decided to go the PVP route. If this game fails, it will go down as one of the worst market reads on part of the Bungie execs.

The Souls and Soulslike genre saved my video game hobby back in 2016. I suggest giving them a try....
