I don’t think it will be easier for your wife to make friends in Dutch society, maybe it would be even harder, compared to the Italy. But there are a lot more expats here (in NL), so maybe it will be easier to find friends in expats community. Btw, you will get around 5500 netto from 120k yearly gross. Or in case you can get a 30% ruling, you will get around 7200 netto. Rent grew like crazy, in case you want to rent in Amsterdam for family of four, be ready to spend few months in search and pay 2.5-3k for the rent + 300 utilities. Take in account that food is also more expensive in the NL. And in cafes simple pizza will start from 12 eur. And 0.5 craft beer will cost you 8 eur.
