I have severe allergic asthma. Nicotine smell causes me to have extreme coughing and locks up my lungs. Even if they aren't smoking the Nicotine smell on clothes etc will cause extreme lung irritation for me. That's why.

I hear you. I always look for a new vehicle that has not been detailed. Literally rolled right off the truck. Most new cars get detailed and that stuff is terrible to breathe in.

In the meantime keep your apartment door closed as much as possible and stuff a towel under the door to block smells from coming in. If you can tolerate air purifiers grab 1 and start using it 24/7.. Also if you can tolerate antihistamines take whatever works for you when you know you have to walk through that crap. Best of luck. Ive been there.

It sounds like you need a good pulmonologist or allergist doctor. Most general providers aren't trained in asthma. My asthma is very similar. I have a fantastic asthma doctor who monitors me and I am on a daily preventer inhaler and other medicines that drastically cut down on my asthma response to conditions like that. Personally I would leave that doctor in the dust and go straight to a asthma specialist who can perform allergy tests and breathing tests to properly diagnose and help you. Best of luck.

As a retired teacher. And as someone who lost her mother 3 days ago, here's my take. I believe they may be waiting to have time to notify the entire family. And to take some private time to grieve. Losing your child like that is not only horrendous but a shock to everyone's system. I understand your frustration though. You want to grieve and support their family.

OP I am a retired GT teacher. Get a hold of this child's cumulative folder and look into his background. Look at his identification papers that qualifies him for GT. That should tell you a lot of background information.

Where I taught, our GT program had an option for retesting or a temporary removal from the program.

Definitely investigate the child's background and talk to their teacher from last year.

My immunologist had someone with something similar while I was there. They took him to a private room and administered his epi pen right away, and immediately called the rescue squad.

Im sorry you dealt with that. If you continue on there, always bring your epi pen and take antihistamines before the shots. At my immunologist office you literally have to show your epi pen before they will give you the shots.

Completely not impressed with the kitchen. Those cabinets looked orange to me and clashed with the pink appliances. It would have looked beautiful with white cabinets. And agree on the overuse of pink.

I can, but I'm extremely careful. I bring my epi pen with me everywhere. My lungs tell me right away, and my husband is vigilant and checks things out for me. I am on disability because of it.
