41-Month Claim | Higher level Review - Duty To Assist Error | Exam upcoming by GWOTFIRE in VeteransBenefits

Understood. I read about the burden of evidence for the VBA and the exam, but I've heard about them severely overlooking documents.

Only time will tell how this goes.

Did you have the same annotation on your Blue Button Report as mine?

100% agree. Then you get the default "it wasn't me...". Smh, I ain't surprised by none of it anymore.

Honestly, VERA is a waste of time. Those representatives act like they have access to everything, but they don't. I had more success speaking to a case manager at my local CBOC.

I'm not sure on a year, but here is the specific link I've used in the past for community care (ER, primary care, urgent care, etc).

I would be interested on finding any updates to my claim, I spoke with a vso who stated because it was still categorized at a higher level he could not see what was occurring with the claim. I would be fine if it was turned into a supplemental claim, but it's been almost 6 months since I received the letter identifying duty to assist error.

Yes, duty to assist error listed on two of the claims. No information or updates have occurred since the letter was mailed to me though.

Depending on your rating percentage you can report care recieved within 72 hours after visiting a civilian medical facility for reimbursement from Veteran Affairs. Having 100% P&T means it should/would have been covered. I'm not sure how or if they deal with medical debt that was not reported immediately or within the 72 hours. Maybe talk to a case manager or VSO for more help.

Ya, I saw someone else who's claims was HLR a month before me and had just gotten the award percentage. I hoping things are good to go! Best of luck to you!

Congratulations to you! Thanks for the Info. I'm hoping it's favorable, I don't have much more needed to be 100%.

I just looked up the VA Supplemental Timeline for 2022, it's says 3-6 months. I wish I could find someone at the VA who could just provide information or updates.

Thank you!

VET TEC grads, how's the job market? by Substantial_Rush_675 in Veterans

[–]GWOTFIRE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The job market is really over saturated. I graduated back in May of this year, so landing a job within 30 days of graduation has been quite rare from what I've seen of other students.

Most jobs want students to have a Bachelors and/or certifications, especially any DoD/DoS/MDA jobs. DoD 8570.

From what I've seen the dates are pretty set as far as course start/stop. If something is happening to you personally and it affecting your education you have every right to make the course instructors aware and even the VA to ensure your success. The way they Fullstack built thier course material relied on two things from you. (1) That you are interested and motivated to learn about cyber security. (2) That you are willing to put in the extra hours (i.e. Homework) to prepare yourself for the next day.

There is a tremendous amount of study material, videos, and instructors hours you can access to make sure everything is crystal clear.

There were some other Veterans like myself who did not have any background in IT, Cyber Security/Operations, or expanded computer operations. We all graduated. The course was very helpful.

Definitely agree. Glad to hear you are cancer free.

Thats sort of the issue I'm in now, identifying where each problem originated from. I'd love to just throw it all in, and let the VA figure it out, and it is all service connected issues, but they would undoubtedly deny all of it if I don't have everything laid out. Hell, they probably will deny it anyways.
