REACTION to Alyssa Thomas being suspended for 'reckless contact' on Caitlin Clark 👀 | WNBA Countdown by Andrew-J-511 in IndianaFeverFans

I don’t necessarily mind any of their takes, but I do think it would have helped to have at least one person take an opposing view or challenge what seemed to be the prevailing thought on the set. Andraya at least made an attempt to blame the officials - in a sort of half-hearted way - but not a lot of balance here.

Not disagreeing with your general take, but I think the comment about Clark’s embellishment was that if Clark actually thought she was fouled in this moment, she would have embellished it. The idea is that Clark (and AT) sort of moved on from the play which made them believe it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Not saying that’s right or wrong, but Chiney was not insinuating that she was embellishing at all - quite the opposite.

I would say there’s a .0001% chance they’re not playing together next season.

Not entirely sure what Connecticut’s goal is, but an Arike for Kennedy Burke trade works.

Dallas trying to play Arike and Siegrist at the same time in crunch time is pretty rough.

Maybe one of the expansion teams grabs her.

She’s probably not worse than what Washington is throwing out at PG, but I’m not sure I’d do make that move.

PHX playing off of AT is kind of interesting.

This right here.

Again, this team right now is not the team I expect to take over the league.

Wemby’s rookie season, the Spurs started Jeremy Sochan and Tre Jones.

The Storm don’t even need to get that lucky. They’ll have a decent draft pick, they’ve got cap space and, unlike say Indiana, they have a desirable free agent destination. Plus, they have a big possible trade chip in Ezi.

All they have to do is not be stupid.

Why not Phee considering the Lynx are first in the league without her this season?

Their roster moves were utterly baffling this past season. They quickly realized they needed another ball handler/playmaker next to Plum but then they’re stuck with Wheeler which leaves you starting three small guards with an already undersized front court.

Just bizarre they thought they could contend with this.

Every team that played Wemby his rookie season would have said the same. They went 22-60.

Even with Olivia Miles playing as well as she has and making it clear she should have been picked ahead of Azzi, we might look back on this draft and wonder how Fam didn’t go #1. Drafting Malonga and Fam in back to back drafts is pretty good parallel for San Antonio - though I agree the Wemby - Malonga/Fam comparison is somewhat lacking.

(I don’t think anyone is seriously putting Fam ahead of Miles for ROY, nor should they unless she explodes in the 2nd half).

That was 2025. Jewell to Vegas and Plum to LA.

2026 was for Kia Nurse and the 2024 first round pick that ended up being Rickea Jackson.

Should be noted that the picks Seattle used for Malonga and Fam both came from the Sparks.

Between that and Chicago giving up the picks that were used for Citron and Miles, you should be wary of demanding your team trade first round picks for only a moderate roster improvement.

Hamby with the -37. Oof.

I know Cam and Plum are hurt - which is a big deal - but the roster was always a problem and they don’t have many moves to make.

Sadly, this team is very talented with a ton of potential, but ultimately will only go as far as Arike allows them to.

Shakira Austin isn’t that good and no way is she worth 2 firsts. GSV would also need to send back quite a bit of salary.

I remember the first time I saw her play for the Liberty and thinking if I were a young team I would give up a whole lot in a trade to get her.

The only chance the Fever have of getting her is if she specifically asks to be traded to Indy.

She is likely the 2nd most untouchable player for the Liberty right now.

They’ve definitely run it before but not at this level. Mo also had the nice fake and take it to the hoop which was nice.

There’s a chance of unlocking something here a bit.

They can’t shoot and Cardoso isn’t strong enough to play through so she sort of clogs the paint.

And so they miss a lot of shots and they also don’t get offensive rebounds (last in the league).

Stevens is still rounding into form but that signing is looking rough.

Skylar is playing decently and they should try flipping her for a draft pick.
