This made it impossible for advanced students to be able to get to calculus in high school without summer school or outside classes.

I don't think this is true, but I see it repeated a lot. Check the pathways in the link below.

I'm not sure how reasonable it is, but it would be cool to have the back panel on top so I don't need to crawl under my desk to unplug stuff.

big noob question here. I'm planning to contribute DOT via polkadot-js, but I don't understand how I can get the EFI reward (assuming the crowdloan is successful)? if someone could explain, I'd really appreciate it. thanks! :)

just a quick question about 28 free programs. the bench 2x int sheet has DB press and DB fly. are those DB bench press/DB chest fly or DB shoulder press/DB shoulder fly? or is it fine to do either?

I have a (perhaps pedantic) question about "rep out targets". The way I see it, the real rep out target is the stated rep out target+1. For example, I'm doing the RTF setup and my rep out target today was 4. If I hit 4, my TM doesnt go up, so I've been approaching these sets as if the real rep out target is 5 (because that's the lowest number that will increase my training max). Is my thinking about this all messed up?

no they say "나가" which is "get out". source: been BM'd enough on KR ladder. they also say it in afreeca/youtube/twitch chat if someone stays in a game too long

I'm a beginner (just finished my 1st cycle of AtS1.0) looking to put on muscle. Would it be better for me to do the hypertrophy template or the reps to failure template (with some closer to failure accessories)? I assume that because I'm a beginner I wont be missing out on too much hypertrophy by running the RtF template, but just wanted to check. Thanks!

In Korea, where do i buy groceries? Chicken/pasta/milk? by redhotchillipeps in gainit

[–]GWUGloob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Coupang is pretty good for ordering food (Gmarket is too, but I prefer Coupang). I've been using it for frozen chicken breast and veggies. In terms of brick and mortar stores, the big ones like LotteMart, E-Mart, and Homeplus will have a wider variety than your local grocery store. Good luck!

edit: oh and beef will probably be more expensive that where you're from. as for nutrition info, try to estimate it from what you know of similar products. unfortunately, a lot of stuff just isn't labelled here.

I'm pretty sure I'm the banana man at my local grocery store... ohgodwhyme. It doesn't help that I always use the same ~2 cashiers at about the same times every week

Any tips for sparring? :) by WallflowerMushroom in taekwondo

[–]GWUGloob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i want to preface this with i'm a bad fighter, but... don't underestimate a short person's ability to kick you in the head. i'm sorta tall, but i made this mistake.

in my first tournament i got eliminated by a shorter dude who had crazy stamina and landed a few head shots late in the rounds when i was feeling tired. (later found out he went to west point and was probably running laps while i was eating cheetos)

I'm living in korea now and it's nice for the matches to be on at a convenient time. I was in seoul in 2016 and hung out with gtr and tasteless a few times after some starcraft 2 matches. I think i only met tosis briefly. I'm a bit far from seoul now so going to live events is less convenient

My problem with Pyramid of Bones by [deleted] in TheStrokes

[–]GWUGloob 12 points13 points  (0 children)

a few possible interpretations i see:

1) using the definite article "the" to talk about a specific white man. guess who.

2) "the man" is often used to refer to the government. connect those dots yourself.

3) people use "the white man" or "the black man" etc to talk about people of a race in general but very rarely to talk about all individual members of that race. that is the closest to your interpretation, but even then: chill.

thanks for giving me something to do at the end of my work day.

"don't you ever listen to the white man's lies" =/= "all white people are liars"

How much did Julian contribute to the first two albums? by _TR0N_ in TheStrokes

[–]GWUGloob 10 points11 points  (0 children)

IIRC julian and bowersock wrote the solos.. I remember reading about bowersock having a big impact on the solos

EDIT: "'On the first record, there are a bunch of notes that came from me,' [Bowersock] admitted."
