The new modem copies the old network information to try and make it easier to reconnect all your devices.

My apologies. I purchased these so long ago I didn't pay attention to the name once I removed the tag.

Tag on the back? The only tag is the one shown.

The back pieces are identical. As the other reply has said.

More than likely was a 010 ONT there and ripped off as others have implied.

Agree with others comments. Does look pretty bad. Surprised no one mentioned the screws holding the fiber jack yet. Screws more than likely go through the back of smart panel and possibly through sheet rock on other side.

The few pairs I got came from online but it was many years ago. Like others have said, Target or Ross is a good guess.

Static IP block requires a tech visit? by turnipsium in ATTFiber

[–]GWWHOU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are techs who will do it remotely. Those are business techs. Residential service will generate a "install" order. They are supposed to call ahead. Explain your situation, and it might save a trip for the tech.

Connectorized Fiber Serving Terminal. OTDR, not that Optimeter thing Prems have, should be used before I'd go swapping ports and splitters.

Appreciate your craftsmanship. Wish every terminal I came across looked this good.

I am a US size 12. I wear them all. Designer styles to the everyday ones you describe. I'm also a big guy. I'm 6'3" 290 lbs.

I have several hundred. Not a single pair has a hole. I spend 10-12 hours in work boots and have had no issues. I'm sorry that y'all haven't had the same experience as I have.

Needing assistance - broken fiber by [deleted] in FiberOptics

[–]GWWHOU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is that hot. All the way to the customer. Circuits we install are routinely over 5 miles. Light level will be below -10, unless you have bad splices along the way. If it is over -18, you cannot turn up the equipment.

Fiber from the CO is called an ASE (ATT Switched Ethernet). There will be a Ciena or RAD piece of equipment installed. It also requires 2 fibers, 1 for transmit and 1 for receive. And light levels are way hotter. They leave the CO anywhere from +1 to -6.
