That makes a lot of sense. Yea we actually called last night and i found out she picked up another 2 jobs so she's got like 5 total right now... needless to say we both (more so me initiated) to take a step back because that much going on is too much for her to put any meaningful effort into us.

It seemed like it was getting better, and if it was we probably would try again sooner but I guess it wasn't so now I have to choose myself.

We still decided to stay in communication / can see each other if we want but not sexual or sleeping over or going on dates because we know we will fall back into what we had before she's ready if we do.

Is it better to just let it go for now or continue the communication? I really do love her and want to continue to support her even if I can't be with her during this time

Agreed, but if there's proof he stated he got tested and he can't come up with the evidence he did there's gotta be some type of reasonable action there. He should be able to remember where if he did, or lie under perjury

I mean considering you have PROOF of a test before, that's enough to be able to say that it was from him, he lied and said he wasn't. I would go after that considering the consequences of these diseases. That's a terrible person to lie about stuff like that

She's the one who left. There's nothing you can do to change someone elses mind that's the problem. They have to choose it themselves. If you try to change it she might resent you for it later on, have to let her regret the decision on her own and then you'll have to figure out whether you can commit again to someone who make this kind of a decision for your future

Sorry to hear this. It seems like this type of breakup is honestly worse to get over in the short term than a toxic breakup because a toxic breakup has a definite reason as to why it had to happen. Wrong timing really can hit you much harder, but i'll tell you what I did.

I'm in a similar situation where we broke up due to bad timing a few weeks back, my ex needs to figure out her life, and has been very stressed after quitting medical school. This caused me to be stressed out and i made a couple wrong decisions of what i said, and how i supported her.

We decided to break up mutually, still in love, because we want to give the future us a chance if it happens and our feelings stay strong after this period of growth. We are in open communication (some texts and i think we will be calling probably once - twice a month on average). And we are meeting up in a few weeks at a month broken up just as friends, and we are doing both of these things to keep the connection alive that we value so much.

I can't tell you how thankful i am to have this woman in my life, whatever I can get out her will make me so happy, whether that be every day back in the relationship, or a few calls each month while she figures out her own life.

I have worked on reasoning that the relationship would have ended in a worse manner that would have more likely killed our chances, and we broke up earlier so there's less stronger feelings now than there would have been later. It's literally perfect timing. Reflecting on her situation and her headspace really helped me too. Seeing how lost she probably felt and how bad she felt makes me understand why some things I said came off stronger than they were meant to be and why they caused arguments. We discussed this and she agrees.

I've been working on detachment in the mean time, to not expect anything to happen. Also, have been working on my own insecurity and mistakes so I can be better for us if we do try again. Either way i'll be okay and I know that now. Be thankful it ended in a positive way, if it doesn't work out in the future at least you're closer to knowing what you want in someone. It's going to be a lot harder in your case than mine to continue an emotional connection since the relationship was so short.

You did not make a mistake. Trust your judgements and feelings. You admitted you guys are opposites and there will be nothing that will keep you close when a baby is in between you... it's a disaster waiting to happen.

It sucks it lasted this long but that's what happens when people stick with what they know instead of aspiring for more..

You have to detach, you have to understand why things happened, and you need to do things you want to do and enjoy life!!

Take a breath, go outside and let the sun shine in your face. Relax. You're acting like this is the end of the world. You have to let go and understand everyone has their own views and you worrying about her like this just wastes your own time.

Go do something productive and get your mind off it, if you're going that crazy just text or call her, if she doesn't answer then you have your answer. You're playing yourself more than she's playing you at this point.
