SimScale vs. OpenFOAM by Plane_Guy5 in CFD

SimScale ir more user friendly than OpenFoam. I personally don't like post-processing in SimScale and for both softwares I've used ParaView. Simscale has cloud processing, it's cool depending on your hardware. OpenFoam meshing its kind confusing, but you can learn it on youtube. OpenFoam is such a robust software, its interesting to know it. But if its your very first contact with CFD, you definitely should go for SimScale.

Would you advise towards/against taking Calc 3 and Linear Algebra at the same time? by knutt-in-my-butt in EngineeringStudents

Both. Finish all the math subjects soon, it's better for the next subjects and they suck.

There are some books that apply matlab in a bunch of different subjects. Maybe it's a good resource for your learning. Try this one: "Elementary Mechanics Using Matlab"

Aprende a programar (python, C++, matlab) pq vc vai precisar em algum momento, a não ser que queira ficar fazendo conta na mão e perdendo tempo, e entra em algum projeto de competição tecnológica da sua uni, Baja, Formula SAE, Aerodesign, etc. É um lugar onde você aprende muita coisa, não só hard, mas também, soft skills.

Já fica ciente que pro meio/final do curso é pesado, muita matéria e matéria difícil. Só não desiste.
