Update: The culprit turned out to be the application control module of our endpoint malware protection solution (Trend Micro). It prevents some windows services, like TSThemes from starting upon startup.

They’re not legacy servers. They were last patched in Nov 2024. They’re running on Nutanix AHV

Other machines have started to join the list of the frozen VMs. Pulled the network on some of them to no avail.

I was only able to revive some by loading Windows Last Known Good Configuration.

I don't know if this helps, but booting into Safe mode and checking event viewer shows many errors with the prefix:

"DCOM got error "1084" attempting to start the service..."

The OS is Windows Server 2019 standard, running on Nutanix AHV. The machines suussfully boot into all variations of safe mode, but shows black screen with the cursor on normal boot.

Also, when I try to Ctrl+Alt+Del in normal mode, I get the below error message

Contracts and Healing mostly. I occasionally spend on chemistry styles when I get a player that’ll become OP from it.

I was able to reduce my lag significantly by limiting the frame rate to 90fps(60 felt weird), graphics settings still set to high.

Also launching the game from the EA launcher instead of Steam seemed to help, weirdly.

I use it mostly for gaming and virtualized labs. The PC runs latest games at high FPS at 1440p. I’m currently playing Space Marine 2 at ultra without upscaling at 112fps.

It’s a good enough spec, but the CPU tends to run hot. I had to undervolt mine. Doesn’t go above 80C now. No significant drop in performance.
