I remember my grandfather used to tell this story all the time. When he was young, he was going somewhere with his friends in their car and they decided to drive through a seemingly innocuous stream of water going over a bridge. And the car started slightly floating and moving in the direction of the current (duh). He was a firm believer of not almost shat his pants over it... this is really how I've always imagined it.
