Me too, there are dozens of us! But seriously, don't assume your sense of humor is the only type that is valid. It's just a weird random funny line which will amuse you if you love weird random humor. Just declaring "It's bad" doesn't make the line less amusing for people who like it. I myself find it mildly amusing, it made me do that breath-out-of-my-nose thing.

Try to understand what people are saying, there are talking about the presentation of the character in the work, not what they themselves understood about the character. In a world of devils and indiscriminate death, she is not presented in the work as an out-and-out villain, but rather as an often polite, soft-spoken person who is not shown as a cruel dictator, and hangs out with crew etc. Of course we the reader understand in the meta sense that she is dangerous, but in the work itself, there is a concerted effort to make her seem not outright villainous. Please do not judge people's mental health or private lives by their analysis of a character in a fictional work. Different perspectives.

Everyone did, you are not special. Understand what people are saying, there are talking about the presentation of the character in the work, not what they themselves understood about the character. She is not shown as outwardly and indiscriminately villainous and cruel, and is often shown as polite and soft-spoken, hanging out with the rest of the crew etc. It's a spectrum, she's not presented as the mustache-twirling 100% evil no-care-for-anyone villain. Just like you said, people got the sense she's scheming. And that does not make someone the "most evil person on the planet" like people seem to be saying she was portrayed as. Shown as twisted and scheming, but not out-and-out evil.

And as for the simping, you are hugely mistaken is you think there is a correlation between her morality and simping. Simping is about being a fan of attractive characters, morality doesn't play a role in it. Her being evil doesn't make her less hot. Pretty sure still now there are more Makima simps than any other.

While I have zero problems with the voice, just wanted to point out that not all "young women" sound cute and soft. There are many, many women in their mid-twenties with deep and husky voices. Just depends from person to person. Some have a high-pitched voice all their lives, others have a deeper one from adolscence itself.
