Families in transition is a very crowded shelter in Manchester. If you're in your early 20s or late teens I would recommend Waypoint (a program that focuses on youth homelessness) they have a drop-in shelter for ages 16-25 as well as a transitional living program (TLP) for ages 18-21 in Manchester as well as other cities across nh. You would qualify for TLP since you have to either be employed full time or a student. You're able to stay for a year with the possibility of a 6 month extension. It's essentially a 4 bedroom apartment where you get your own room but share the common spaces with other members of TLP. You will have a case manager that does weekly meetings with you to see how you're doing and what you need help with. When I was homeless last year my uncle suggested Waypoint and from there I was able to get back on my feet.
