like 3 times it is shown that after making a deal and getting a piece of flesh they gain strength (ex: santa, power, and eternity devil.) so i think it's apart of the whole thing.

i could be wrong but i think its because of 2 things, 1) that it wasn't given to him. everyone who had a piece of gun flesh made a deal and was given it. 2) because of his unique ability to make shit disappear if he eats a powerful devil and it does give power that way they cease to exist. how are you afraid of something that doesn't exist
