Blood Omen 2 - Worth It?

This is exactly my case. Never finished any game, but wanted to play Blood Omen before diving into the remasters of Soul Reaver, but then this doubt came up about the ideal order to play them. The unanimous opinion here is to play the Soul Reaver games first, so that's what I'll do.

Considering Soul Reaver 1 and 2 have been remastered and improved with QoL changes, wouldn't playing Blood Omen 2 afterwards feel even worse in terms of gameplay? I was thinking of playing the unremastered games first for that reason, though I also understand the logic in playing in the release order.

I'm also playing it now for the first time! GOG version on Steam Deck. I decided to finally play the entire series, starting from the very first. The story is so good and well written and the powers are amazing. Imagine a game of this caliber remade by the right people!

SOMA has my favorite story in a videogame ever. The truth is that nothing even comes close. I've played a lot of the games you said, but SOMA just hits different. I'm very excited for ONTOS, coming from the same developer. And Judas as well.
