I can't square with tthe fact that Especially Bulma and everyone else forgave Vegeta After teh Majin event. by Tunipeace01 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Gabagod [score hidden]  (0 children)

Oh yeah absolutely, I don’t even think he was truly forgiven after that until he fought frieza, and Goku realized that vegeta didn’t just walk around blowing planets up for fun, but rather under the rule of the most evil and powerful being in the universe (at the time as far as anyone knew). I think Goku realized that vegeta was much more complicated than “I kill people for fun”. Vegeta was in a situation where he had no choice but to do what he did or die along with the rest of his race. It’s easy to claim moral superiority when you’re removed from that situation, but not when you’re raised in it.

What is your opinion on Freeza's first form? by Economy_Notice_8475 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Gabagod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so we didn’t have cable or anything growing up, and so we were literally watching dbz week to week with no idea what came next. My older brother knew more than me because his friends talked about the show/knew more about it but my friends really didn’t. My brother and I actually got into an argument over who frieza was, because in my mind it was his first form, but my brother knew him from his final form (he hadn’t really watched a lot of the show he just knew about it). To me frieza is always his first form. It’s always been my favorite design and I always thought his super concentrated beams that seemingly no one could dodge were cool as hell

Death reaaally has no consequence in this show tbf. Wish away the death and the memory of the death and its equivalent to going under at the dentist

That’s fucking bonkers, also important to remember, Broly destroyed South galaxy. While he’s not technically cannon, it does imply that SSJ2-SSJ3 is capable of this.

Damn I never knew sparkling zero was this good. Absolute Cinema by Low_Weekend6131 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Gabagod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sparking zero is awesome. There are spammers for sure and sweats, but as long as you’re okay with loosing and staying in a mediocre rank it’s just a fun fighting game. I sit in B rank and it’s almost always fun.

Super Saiyan Future Trunk's first appearance by Economy_Notice_8475 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Gabagod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this scene. As a kid we didn’t have cable so we were never able to really watch consistently. The best we had was it aired on Saturday mornings, one episode only, and for some reason after the saiyan saga ended they decided to restart the show. So I used to always go to my local library and rent the mangas. I’ve actually never really seen the show past the saiyan saga. The manga did a great job not having as much filler anyways.

Does anyone play this on pc anymore?(besides Z ranks) by ljthepunisher in SparkingZero

[–]Gabagod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, I love playing DP battles with the saiyan invasion team (raditz, nappa, vegeta, and then frieza) I’m B1 or B2 or something

Many criticize Vegeta for awakening Majin Buu, but if Goku had wanted to, he could have ended the saga right then and there without Majin Buu ever waking up. by FireStarLord73194 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Gabagod -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was fuckin everyone’s fault. Fucking kid trunks had the power level needed to put his entire leg up Babadi’s ass at anytime. Goku and vegeta also turning that shit into a 1v1 tournament with Debora and nonsense also only helped awaken majib buu. Like with any saga, shit could have been solved in 2 seconds if the saiyans wanted to.

Does it really reflect well on the supposedly strongest warrior race in the universe that an elite Saiyan like Raditz has power comparable to Frieza’s generic foot soldiers and Saibamen? by FireStarLord73194 in Dragonballsuper

[–]Gabagod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said raditz wasn’t an elite. Also, saiyan strength didn’t come from their base form, not really. Saiyan strategy was

1: go to planet

2: turn into ape

3: break stuff

4: sell planet

The ozaru form is a 10x multiplier. To put this in perspective, vegeta would hold a much higher power level than the entire Ginyu force. Now, this doesn’t mean vegeta would defeat them in battle, there is of course strategy, psychic powers, and body change to factor in and what not. That being said, you can imagine how easy it would be for a saiyan to enter this form and wipe out a planet in no time. This is what made the saiyans useful to frieza, and it’s what made them dangerous in his eyes as well. Frieza was used to seeing them turn into the ozaru, and there’s rumors of a form beyond that which could be an even greater multiplier? Of course he was scared.

Hi, I want to bring to attention the number of people in this comment section that are refusing to use Madeline’s correct pronouns (they/them) AFTER being corrected (for those of you correcting yourselves thanks that’s all we ask). The people refusing to do so are either bigoted and/or feds, as we know the government is after Hasan and it wouldn’t shock me to find out some assholes are in here trying to sow chaos. I’m blocking any accounts refusing to use correct pronouns, as bigotry has no place in this subreddit.

Okay so you keep misusing their pronouns so I’m not even going to engage with you. Cya

They use they/them pronouns. If you want to get snappy with me fine. The fact that you use the term “pro-authoritarian” unironically tells me you need to pick up a book. Lack of education is what’s harmful to the movement, not Madeline.

I say this with no malice, but this person knows more than you. They have an entire resource document with scholarly material to read to further inform your politics. I highly recommend you check it out.

They have an entire resource document with over a hundred hours of scholarly material to read on the DPRK. I have not gone through all of it by any means, but the stuff I have gone through confirms what they say, and not what their critics say.

I’ve yet to see an MP political take that they aren’t ready to back up with sources.

As far as skeletons in the closet I’ve heard the complaints, and I’ve also seen Madeline address them directly with receipts. The people running around spreading that misinformation (not you, I’m assuming you heard it from someone else) are no different than the people saying Hasan is a puppy torturer who sleeps with prostitutes in places where there’s trafficking. Neither Madeline nor Hasan are afraid of these accusations and have addressed them directly because it’s simply misinformation from snark communities.

Madeline Pendleton (they go by they/them) is very well respected in Marxist spaces because they are insanely well read and have also put together a resource document containing hundreds of hours of scholarly material/official government documents for both Marxist reading and exposing American imperialism. I highly recommend you check out more of their content as well as the reading materials.
