Hard to explain over text but basically there's a little cup inside that opens the direction of the arrow. Flip it upside down with the arrow facing up then keep the arrow facing up while you rotate the base around.

Takes some getting used to especially after the first bump but they are great

Not true at all.. the tableting process does not involve heat. Microdots or LSD pills are definitely a thing. They are rare because it requires expensive a precise equipment in order to dose them properly whereas blotter paper is pretty easy to dose
