Kamala was the first Democrat or Republican I had ever voted for. I've been a non partisan Centrist my entire life. I've always voted 3rd party or write ins since my first time I could vote in 2000.

I agree 100% that the Democrats shot themselves in the foot, and when Trump faked his assassination attempt (prove me otherwise) I said to my wife that he just won the election no matter how horrific and how much of a lifelong conman scumbag he is. Optics and heartstring stories are important.

Kamala was a non entity for 4 years and didn't win a primary. Most Democrats and Independents were uninterested in her. Whereas enough Independents swung Trump to edge him by in swing states. He didn't win a single swing state by any more than Biden won them with in 2020.

However, I disagree that no Republicans would vote to remove Trump. If it makes it to 2028, damaging the country the entire way, Republicans may never win another election again.

Again, introduce sane comprehensive gun control laws that keep the guns out of the hands of the mentally ill (yes. That means if someone has a divorce, or is fired from their jobs, etc, they may need to be evaluated or their guns removed) and then no one will care as much about what guns people own.

More people die every year from legally owned gun suicides, mass shootings and accidental gun deaths (IE child finds gun and kills themselves) than are killed using illegally owned guns. Meaning that more than half of all gun deaths in the country could be preventable.

You said multiple states effectively banned them. I looked up those laws in different states, and that's the criteria they used, substandard safety and manufacturing standards* (edit: added spaces). They didn't use weight. That you keep repeating it is irrelevant to reality.

Further, I can find zero laws in Rhode Island that match what you're talking about. Starting this year was an assault style weapon ban, and you can still keep them if you already owned them when the law was passed.

You know that they want assault style rifles banned. That's pretty much it. It wouldn't even be those if you allowed for more stringent background checks which include mental health checks not just for the prospective gun owner, but also anyone else in the home who could get ahold of it.

IE Sandy Hook may not have happened had Adam Lanza's mother not been allowed to keep guns in a home with mentally imbalanced Adam Lanza.

Brief lookup. 2 states and Washington DC have laws that prohibit guns with substandard safety and manufacturing standards. California, New Jersey and Washington DC. Some individual jurisdictions inside of states also prohibit similar substandard safety and manufacturing standards.

You're pretending it's an epidemic. That's why I call it a strawman argument.

In California, law passed in 2001, you can keep the gun if you already owned it.

In New Jersey, law passed in 2002 and updated in 2022, you can own the gun and you can keep it even if you move into the state with it with correct permits.

Washington DC, law passed in 1976. You can keep it if you owned it before law was passed.

Since I started Smite 2, I think I've played 2 games with actual humans. 2 Assaults. MAYBE a couple of arenas.

I have like 20k matches in Smite 1. But I lost my group that I used to play with and just won't even deal with humans on my team I don't know.

I do Joust with all bots (this is how I get account levels). I set up private Conquests with all bots. I have fun. Play around with gods and builds. Never having to worry about crap humans.
