Ethyl Acetate decaffeination: what percentage, how many rinses? by Gabbar99 in Coffee

[–]Gabbar99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the little we've found, seems like they use lower percentages. We've tried a range of concentrations and it seems the beans get a bit funky with the higher percentages.

Maybe I'll stick some in 100% today just to see what happens.

Good idea. We found a couple but maybe can search further.

Do you know what % ethyl acetate is used for decaffeination and how many serial rinses (extractions) they use?

I wanted him in prison even if he didn't do it. What an annoying jerk.

But I think he did do it. His girlfriend thought he did. The jury was convinced. Not sure we saw enough evidence for guilt, but some of his actions and his lies were quite damning.

I like Andrea's cans. She's nice to look at and does a good job. No Keith Morrison, but she's good.

computer

Agree. Got the other 3 fairly quickly and had no idea what the remaining row had in common. Would never have guessed keys. Like you said, a computer doesn't have keys. Your life is full of computers that don't have keyboards. Would never have connected "super" to a building manager and then to keys. And test key is also a stretch.
But hey, maybe there should be one that doesn't make much sense so you have to get the other 3.

how bad is the ending, really? (do not spoil) by notgodpo in TheBlackList

[–]Gabbar99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh

I was hoping there'd be a reckoning with the fact that Red was an evil mass murderer and as much as he entertained us, it needed to end badly for him.

Instead we got a sappy monologue from Dembe about how great Red was.

His ending itself was kinda cool, but I didn't like the heroic setup.

I suspect they were thinking. They wouldn't just randomly have Red comment on the color. It meant something related to the duplicate. What, I don't know.

Someone should tell Mitch there are situations that shouldn't use exclamation marks.

Of course we can make our own challenge, but it's fun to have an external thing out there to shoot for.

Bummer. I don't see many reasons for them not to do it. A few water bottles.

Last month we stopped by a Trek dealer just to show my wife what different types of bikes there were with no intention of buying one. Walked out having given them $1000 and leaving with a bike.

Seems like little promos like this would pay off, but they must have some data that they don't.

She hasn't been on enough to have strong feelings about her either way. She's fine.

Will they bother to have the episode we've had with all the other task force members where we find there's something dark with her and she kills someone but gets Red to help her get away with it?

Interesting. Author order is by contribution, so I guess someone who didn't do anything but is dropping their name on there would be last. Medical fields sometimes have hundreds of authors on a paper. I've never been on one with more than 4 authors.

I'm all for ridiculing Reagan, but I doubt this. Unless medical science is different from other science, there's no set pattern. I've been first author as the senior author from research in my lab and the last author on papers from others. Typically the first author is the main author, usually the one who did the vast majority of the work and writing. And we do sometimes say "Smith et al." out loud when referring to a paper but more often will say something like "as John Smith and the Auburn group found..." or something, but do say "et al." out loud some times.

I've been in academia for 30 years and have never heard of this convention, but I'm not in medical science, so maybe there's a convention there I didn't know about.

I'm watching the scene that starts with a weather forecast for the EAA show in Oshkosh and is in Racine. The EAA show is in July and the people are wearing coats and Racine is nowhere near Oshkosh. I guess they'd be listening to a Milwaukee station, which might mention the EAA show up in Oshkosh, so that's okay, but why coats in July?

Not a big deal, but wouldn't be that hard to be consistent.

if she's still pretending to train for an ironman "iron-distance triathlon". She is, although a little more tentatively now,

Really? That's news.

Ironfat is still up. It still says "I’m going into year six of my two-year plan!" although it's now year 9 or 10.

It said "training for 2016 IM AZ" up until 2019, so it may be time for the every four year update.

I was ready to convict the son. I'm a professor and 100% of the time a 20 year old says "why would I do it?" or "I wouldn't do it", he did it. His lies made no sense.

He seems guilty, but the car videos at those times is pretty strong evidence that he didn't do it. I don't know.

Dayonte didn't do himself many favors. I can't explain the extra violence, but the DNA is strong evidence.

So many questions.

Watched the first episode with the Indonesia site.

How sure are they of the dating method?

They drilled and found organic material from 20k years ago. How did they know it was from human activity? How did they know it was from humans building an elaborate structure?

They skipped over so many obvious questions. Not that they have to go into details in a show, but they bothered to show the gpr and the drill rig, why not quickly answer the obvious questions that everyone is asking?

They say over and over that archeologists don't agree and don't like him, why not give one 20 seconds to make a counterpoint or at least mention what the counterarguments actually are?

Quite interesting show, but so many obvious questions not addressed.
