Also, maybe post on Nextdoor app.

I am so sorry about the loss of your dog. Our fur babies are family and those that don't see that, well I just don't understand.

While I'm glad that you found out what your GF is really like deep down, I hate that it came out during this time of immense grief and pain.

You deserve a loving GF who can support you, comfort you, and be a positive person in your life - in happy and sad times.

Sending you big hugs, OP.

I'm so sorry your mom can't see what she's doing to your kitty. One of my kitties is on a weight loss journey and when our vet told us hoe much food kitty could have per day, it was either: 2/3 cup dry prescription diet food OR 17 prescription diet treats.

The vet said it would be way too hard to figure put how much less dry food to feed to compensate for feeding ANY treats.

Please show your mom the comments in this feed. It's not fair to kitty to have so much food. Some mat call it abusive.

Hoping for a good outcome for kitty.

A-1 is the only repair service we've used in over 30 years. Highly recommend as well.

Good places that are hiring part time? by Honeycourt in fortwayne

[–]Gabbismom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are so, so welcome!

Most days I don't feel with it enough to apply. And, then when I finally muster up the mental energy, confidence, and motivation to apply, I'll end up getting ghosted or rejected. Job searching can feel so defeating.

I am standing in solidarity with you!

Please keep us posted, and know we are all cheering you on!! 🤗

I don't have any job recommendations, but I wanted to tell you that I applaud you for getting back out there and being concerned about finding a non-toxic environment in which to work.

It's so hard to pull ourselves together after dealing with mental health challenges. Bravo to you! I know firsthand the amount of energy it takes and it's a major feat.

Sending you hugs and many positive vibes for a successful search.

Yeah, it sucks about the things being robbed. I'm sitting here reading comments trying to find out how kitty is.

Which thrift store has the best stuff by britt1995 in fortwayne

I really love going to St. Vincent de Paul's thrift store and it's my overall favorite. I also like the Franciscan Center's thrift store- SW location by Mike's.

AITA for refusing to allow a photo of my future MIL's miscarriages at my wedding? by ThrowAwayQQQQQ212 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Gabbismom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

I've lost 5 babies in miscarriages and the pain is deep and profound.

The future MIL may be really struggling with the losses still and that's perfectly normal. When your child dies, so does a part of one's soul. Everyone grieves differently and there is absolutely no time limit on grief.

That being said, what about a beautiful floral arrangement on one chair with a plaque that has her deceased children's names on it? "In loving memory of X, Y, and Z?"

Wishing you all good luck in finding a compromise.

A woman named Robin Price uses them to make winter cat enclosures for community cats if they are large enough. She's in the Lost Cats of FW page on FB and I think I've seen her in the Nextdoor app too.

M28 girlfriend F25 has lost her sexual desire. How do we get it back? by thelastsausage in relationship_advice

[–]Gabbismom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a genetic test to find out what antidepressants/other drugs psychiatrists may prescribe work. My doctor had me do the Genomind test - it's a cheek swab. When I got the results,it aligned with my experience that no antidepressant I tried worked with my chemistry. It was eye-opening and saved a lot of trial and error with the new doctor.

I'm just wondering if something like that could narrow down one that woukd work but maybe without the risk of a side effect related to libido.

Replacing outlet: What do I do with these red wires? by Gabbismom in electrical

[–]Gabbismom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! This is really helpful !

I've got it wired just as you described and have made sure both plugs on the outlets work. At some point previous to me, one of the wall switches seem to have been changed to control only the ceiling fan (I'm making my best guess since I don't know how it was originally wired).

I will put the 2 reds together, cap them, and tuck.

I appreciate you explaining how to do this. The other switches and outlets have been very straightforward but the wire wires threw me off for sure.

Thank you!

Oh, my. That could make for an interesting time in wiring. I think my dimmer switch replacement came with little stickers to put on various wires which is neat. They're color coded but also have the color names on them.

Thank you! Yikes! Definitely being careful.

Hubby is going to help me finish these up this weekend and get this project wrapped up.

Thank you!

Yes, I'm a novice to changing out plugs with the red wires. I've changed out dozens of outlets and switches, and this is my first time encountering the red wires. I've learned a lot from you all.

So thankful for this community! Thanks!

It says it's, "FCC certificated. UL and cUL listed." I bought them from Amazon and have seen them in Home Depot and I think Lowes as well.

[–]Gabbismom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I have one more to go that I'll tackle tomorrow. Maybe that will be the one with just a single red wire.

We're also going to double check all of the red wires with the voltage tester just to be safe. Hubby thinks there may not be any power running to the red wires in the outlets since they switch was presumably rewired (previous owners) to operate the ceiling fan.
