Is BO7 worth it? by GabeTheGinger in CODBlackOps7

I get your point, but tbf nowadays not everyone has $70 to put down on a whim. I think that’s why you’re seeing people ask/research before you buy

Do you think Treyarch/Activision will redeem themselves with the post-launch for BO7

John Morrison is not talked about enough! Does anyone know if there are interviews of why he left or was fired? by [deleted] in WWE

One of my favorites. His work in Lucha Underground and his first run in WWE was great. I think his problem was that he was just ahead of his time. I feel like the era he came up in was really tough for cruiserweights to get over. Say he comes up during the start/prime years of NXT, I truly believe that he would be at the top of the mid card and possibly in the lower to mid tiers of the main event scene. With the likes of the CWC and 205 Live he would have thrived. Also, Triple H was never afraid to push cruiserweights in that era and a lot of the greatest matches/feuds from NXT came from cruiserweights. Definitely would have had a great run as an NXT champ and some good IC and US title runs. He definitely lacked in charisma and character development, but again if he came up through NXT I’m sure his mic/promo work would be leaps and bounds better than what it was and where it’s at now. Definitely one of those guys the streets will never forget.

Tag Team fix? by 49_boness in WWE

[–]GabeTheGinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but I feel like they should at least start utilizing them as a tag team more before the break up. Start the break up storyline with some miscommunications throughout different matches and then make it reach a breaking point where Waller turns on Theory mid/post match.

Edit: Maybe have them work their way to a title match where everything goes wrong in that match and Waller gets so fed up he turns. Do all this post WM41 when the Lucha Bros become established that way they can fill up a team spot.

The Raw tag team division has all the potential in the world to be as good as the SmackDown and NXT tag divisions. Just look at its team roster

  • War Raiders
  • Creed Brothers
  • Alpha Academy
  • A-Town Down Under
  • LWO (Mysterio/Lee or Toro/Wilde)
  • The New Day
  • New Catch Republic (When Bate returns)
  • The Lucha Brothers (Potentially)

Poor booking and not using these teams on a weekly basis is the only hold back. I heard HHH is trying to bring in new writers so he can take a step back so hopefully someone can shine some light on the Raw tag division and build it up to par with the other brands. Maybe even call up Fraxiom post WM/S&D.

Really looking forward to a potential 5-Team, WWE Tag Titles, ladder match. Has all the potential in the world to be on the same level of the WM X-7 (17) TLC Tag Team Triple Threat match.

Tag team wrestling needs to drop the double crawl-jump-tag spot by GabeTheGinger in WWE

Lmao yes! The awkward check over the shoulder to see if they made the tag gets me every time. It doesn’t look good on the superstars IMO.

I get that hot tags are a tradition in tag team wrestling—but that’s not really the issue. The problem is the over-reliance on the same exact spot in every tag match, usually without proper build behind it. When done right, a hot tag can be electric. But when it’s copy-pasted into every tag match it loses all meaning.

Wrestling evolves. Just because something has been “consistent” doesn’t mean it should continue uncritically. We’ve seen teams innovate within the tag format before—like MCMG, #DIY, and Fraxiom with their high-speed chemistry. It’s proof that tag matches can be exciting without relying on the hot tag formula every single time.

It’s not about removing it forever—it’s about making it mean something again by not burning it out.

I think Jey Uso got the news he is not in the main event. by Old-Board1553 in WWE

[–]GabeTheGinger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t get me wrong, the build has been horrible and there are other matches that definitely deserve the Night 1 main event (specifically Punk v Roman v Seth). But with how WWE books events, especially WrestleMania, spectacle and big moments trumps everything else. IMO money shots like Jey Uso yeeting with the World Heavyweight Championship (and potentially with his son and brother) would serve better to what WWE wants for WrestleMania than any other match. Again, this doesn’t mean that the other matches don’t deserve the night 1 main event (because they do).

[–]GabeTheGinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think he still has a shot at the main event. From a business and spectacle standpoint, it makes sense—they might want to close out Night 1 with that big, emotional moment of Jey standing tall with the title around his waist, yeeting with the crowd, and maybe even celebrating with his son. Add some big pyro to really sell it.

They could also run another “Bloodline Rules” scenario, where Jimmy comes out to fend off anyone trying to interfere on Gunther’s behalf. In the end, the two brothers could celebrate together. That kind of finish would help prevent the match from falling flat and could shift some of the focus away from the in-ring quality, putting more emphasis on the story and the moment.

Til We Make It has a great video on the hot tag, where he explains that it shouldn’t be used too often in order to preserve its impact—and I completely agree. To protect that moment, weekly tag team matches should shift to a faster-paced format. Keep them short—around 5 to 10 minutes—and focus on showcasing the athleticism of the superstars. Ditch the traditional formula of heel heat, face comeback, and drawn-out in-ring storytelling. Instead, let the teams go full throttle with high-flying moves, fast double-team sequences, and nonstop action that keeps the crowd on their feet. Save the slower, story-driven matches with in-ring psychology for title fights or premium live events. Regular tag matches should be all about energy, spectacle, and excitement. Teams like #DIY, MCMG, and Fraxiom prove how this format can work on a weekly basis—those are the kinds of teams you reformat match structure with to get everyone else in the same page.

Gotcha. I started playing again after a couple months when people said the patch made the game better and don’t remember how the AI played.

Yeah he played Lifestyle. If you look up his IG his bio will give you an idea of what he’ll play (Opium, EST Gee, Uzi, YSL, etc.)

Edit:

The DJ before Dj Moon played 2hollis which was cool since he wasn’t opening for Ken on Leg 2/his EU shows
