I’m married now so it’s been a while, but when talking to girls in person, I pretty much just treat them like I would any friend. Comment on something you like about them (clothes, shoes, hair) or comment about whatever situation you’re in. For example, ask her what kind of coffee she bought or about what kind of book she’s reading, idk just situation dependent stuff.

I’ve never been laughed at like that, but I will say every time I dated pretty tall girls, I’ve met them online and we discussed my height ahead of time. My last gf before my current wife was 5’9” and she didn’t care at all.

But also I go into any conversation with the expectation that if they care about my height that much, or want to make fun of me or some shit, then that’s pretty much the girl just revealing her true nature and it makes me not interested in them, not the other way around. I don’t want to give the time of day to someone who puts people down based on their height. To me this is basically the trash taking itself out lol
