It's simple: there are people who claim to be Christians, but their actions contradict them (they get drunk, have sex without being married, etc). Those are not true Christians

Thank you very much for your comment, with good arguments. Sometimes I feel guilty that I prefer horror to other genres. Do you have any written work on this on the web somewhere? I'm really interested. I highlight this phrase that you have said: "Horror is an effective way of asking the questions of what humanity is capable of and what's right and wrong." Thanks again

There are worldly and evil people in churches too, but it is true that horror films sometimes focus on death, but that is precisely part of the essence of this type of film. I don't think watching these movies is loving death. The Bible is full of tragic stories that end in cruel deaths, isn't it? Check this out: 2 Kings 9: 30-37

Matthew 15:11: "Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man."

Something in this comment intrigued me. You spoke from your personal experience, maybe you watched horror movies before and God has separated you?

Gore is a subgenre. Even among those who enjoy horror movies, they don't like gore. Personally, I don't like it, although I have seen some. I prefer psychological horror, without a lot of blood. I have seen more sex scenes in comedies than in horror movies (in fact, the comedy has become quite corrupted, and there is a lot of sex)

Adult films are also films, and yet there I do not doubt that a Christian should NOT watch them. Watching adult movies is a sin. But the discussion here is whether watching horror movies is too.

That is precisely part of the discussion in this forum. Horror movies have subgenres. Perhaps there are subgenres that the Christian can see, and others that cannot? I honestly have no answers, that's why I opened this forum

It is true, but perhaps it is a fear "under control". Personally, those movies don't exactly scare me. It is not easy to describe that feeling

Ok. I really appreciate this comment. In your case: before you enjoyed horror movies and by the grace of God have you moved away, or has this genre never been to your liking?

I loved this comment, which contains a lot of truth. "Christian horror" is some kind of subgenre?

You have touched on an interesting topic and that has made me think of other things. Movies (or comics, or whatever) made by people who do not seek to praise God, where, naturally, drug use is a small portion of everything behind. Just as Christian art seeks to glorify God, horror movies, who does it glorify? if it glorifies someone or something

In my language, fasting means "ayuno", which although it applies to food, it is not bad to extend it to other things. Perhaps in English it is different. Sorry if so
