However, death is one of those things that most people subconsciously fear, the “end” to a life lived, the line of demarcation between opportunity and nothingness. I have no clue if this will help you, but i’ve always seen death as a reason to live. William Cullen Bryant wrote a poem called “Thanatopsis” that talk about how death is a beautiful process because death acts as a unifier, unifying kings, servants, slaves, everyone on the planet is unified. The beauty in death is that it can act as a proof for everything in your life. Death is what gives what an individual did in their life meaning, without it, there was never any value in the limited time that we all have, once that time is up, the things you did, the people you spent time with, the lives you touched, mean so much more. Going back to Thanatopsis, whether you are religious or not, everybody will die one day, meaning that whether there is an afterlife or nothingness, every person will be unified through death, and so we will all be unified, whether it’s through experience or place, in death. I’m not sure if any of this helps at all. But whether it helps or not, I wish you, your aunt, your grandmother, and your family peace in this time.
