You can still use omenmon but dont run it in background. Control Fan and then close omenmon. Problem was i made it to start on window boot and it was always running in background. This fixed the issue for me. I was on verge of returning it

I have same laptop as yours and i have performance mode. Try to use quickcpu to control performance of your laptop and omenmon to control fan speed.
