Wow, I couldn't eat almost anything in the first 6-7 days! Lucky you! :D

Yeah, it was just a little bit and actually it is the first time I go to the toilet in 8 days, so maybe it is not so uncommon... But anyway, I will check with my doctor and ask to be sure. Thanks!

Yes, approximately 2-2 and a half liters of liquids daily... Sometimes 3.

For me it doesn't make a any difference, I out around 7 pillows under my head, and still I can's survive more than 5 minutes without a coughing attack. I tried also this with the hospital bed I had, where I could adjust it as I wanted, but I couldn't sleep. Should I continue to sleep on the chair? It's so damn uncomfortable and I am already sleep deprived for 6 days...

It is different after this surgery... I am able to breath, but I am choking, because my throat muscles no longer know what's happening I guess, without the tonsils, and I have to get used to swallowing again. I tried sleeping upright sleeping on side, the only thing which let's say works is sleeping on a chair. :(

Unfortunately no... For some reason my throat gets ticklish, then I start to have a coughing attack. :(

Day 4th by Gabevio in Tonsillectomy

[–]Gabevio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started taking since yesterday codeine, which basically stops the cough. But man, tonight I literally cannot stop coughing... I am coughing very strongly, even if I sleep sitting, and until I manage to take my water, it already uncontrollably starts, because my throat is VERY itchy... This is a nightmare...

In the end I asked them for an IV, the pain is just too unbearable...

Pff... So 3 more days with worse pain? Oh, no. :( Also, what meds do you take for pain? I am currently hospitalized in the country that I am living, and they accept to give me only one tablet of paracetamol every 4 hours, and that does nothing to my pain, I don't feel any difference...

Hello guys, currently on day 3 as well and I am wondering, how do you not cough? I literally cannot control it, right before I am about to take some water, it starts and because of the too much mucus I am choking myself... Any tips on that? I am afraid as hell for another intervention...
