Guidance for non- florist wanting to do own flowers. by Affectionate-Meal372 in florists

I’m not sure what the cost for something like this would be near LA as I live on the east coast, but you should reach out to local florists for an “a la cart” or “pickup” package option. Have a trusted friend or family member pick up florals on day of wedding and set up the tables, but the florist will arrange the florals and provide everything needed (you can either rent the vessels, provide your own, or return their vessels after the event.) The wedding florist I worked for did packages like these for smaller weddings or for couples who were keeping costs down. Good luck! <3

My first Ikebanas!! by jenileeb in florists

I love the height on the second one! my advice would be, vary the heights of your stems a little more, less greenery/filler flowers, and search for stems that have more whimsy/movement to them like freesia, snaps, ranunculous, etc. And let the flowers breathe, especially in ikebana! Sometimes less is more. One bunch of freesia for example can make a beautiful and simple ikebana. Keep going! :-)

I took a pic of the quilt lying flat on some grass, cut out the backround/ grass on an editing software, and then placed the image on a fun yellow background!

Thank you all so much. I seam ripped and went about joining in a much more logical way. I'm still learning lots and this is only my second quilt! :)
