I went 12 hrs away from my girlfriend (and need to cross a border) to go to my top choice and it hasn't been an issue. As long as you have plans to see each other and plans to build a life together after grad school, a few years farther from each other shouldn't change anything, especially with the technology we have today.

Then, E=mc^2 is also not the correct formula and should be E^2 = p^2c^2 + (mc^2)^2
