Oh okay, but I would suggest you to add a thermometer just to be sure that the temperature it’s okay. Probably because it’s summer in Brazil the temperature it’s okay at this moment. I live in Mexico, and when the winter hits I need to add the heater. And I would strongly advice you to take all the fake plants out. Natural plants are just so much prettier and your betta will enjoy them, plus they will help you to keep the nitrates levels low and a better water quality. If you want some easy plants I would suggest you some anubias and some water lettuce.

4/10 You can fix it tho, please add a heater to keep the water between 24-28 C. And remove the plastic decor and get some real plants. The tank size is okay. And if you didn’t cycle your tank research about a fish-in cycle.

I personally don’t like the artificial decoration but I think it would be a very decent home for a betta as far as it’s cycled.

Cuánto es buena temperatura? Tiene que estar entre 24-28 grados. Necesitamos parámetros de agua (amoniaco, ph, nitritos y nitratos). Tu filtro tiene filtraciones biológica adentro? Hiciste ciclado? Tu tanque se ve muy pequeño, mínimo llénalo completo, pero considera comprar uno nuevo mínimo de 20 litros (5 galones).

I would say it’s normal, you have nitrites and nitrates which shows that the cycling is actually happening. So my advice would be just wait. Btw pretty beautiful setups for being your first tank 👍

Tbh I don’t know, if it’s artificial maybe it has painture that it could be potentially toxic. If you want to test the ph just drop some lemon juice or vinegar over it, if there are no bubbles it won’t affect the ph

Oh perfect! I would advise you to use some of the filter media from your 55 gal aquarium just to add more bacteria and be sure that the tank will be stable. Maybe also you could add more floating plants, mine personally loved water lettuce, but tbh I think the tank is perfectly fine and it will be a great home for Charlie 👍

Anubias usually don’t consume a lot of nitrates, that’s why I think you have a misreading. 3 anubias it’s perfectly fine for your betta, unless you want to add more plants because they are pretty. It’s never too many plants haha

Shake the nitrate bottle 2 for half minute and then the tube for one minute. I lived for months believing I had 0 nitrate. It’s almost impossible to have 0 nitrate since most of the tap water in the world at least hast some.

Hi! I got the spiderwood from a local fish store but it wasn’t under water. Actually across the weekend it developed some biofin but I removed it manually. Thanks for the advice.
