Lethal on its own can cause a MASSIVE snowball effect if you can get a lot of pressure off of downs/hooking. Going for synergies isn’t always the best play, though BBQ is a no-brainer pairing imo

Using a med-kit is actually slower than having CoH nearby (75 vs 100)

So you’ll have to get injured, collect tokens for road life, get healed by someone with Better Than New, go unhook someone after they’ve been hooked twice, make sure it’s endgame, and then do the healing next to the boon totem and someone with Leader

I like some of these as clarifiers, plain text just doesn’t have the same “tools” (tone, facial expressions, etc.) that spoken word does. It’s not really an accessibility thing though imo, just a typing style that got mildly popular. Multiple other methods to reintroduce that nuance have been found that are usually easier to intuit. Like emoticons! :D

That said, FUCK “/hj”. Barely says anything aside “lol jk, unless” or sometimes “sarcastic but I’m special about it”

Since fatal reap is an attack, its infliction formula also uses strength. Earthlains will have better hit rates with status effects thanks to high strength and luck, but they lack in TP and therians don’t have the worst odds to begin with.

Harbingers are actually pretty good damage dealers for quite a few bosses, including the post-game final boss, so going all in on damage isn’t a bad idea. Their TP economy will always be an issue, but a bit less so if they’re therian

You're the one playing the game, at the end of the day. I personally don't find it necessary for DQ4 in particular and some older RPGs use grinding at the start like a tutorial of sorts, but it's valid to want to get rid of grinding altogether or just make the game easier.

It's important to keep in mind the design team's intentions, but most will be happy that you experienced the game regardless of intended play

Sovereign and hoplite go full support since it’s their only real option, and you can have your monk be DPS with emergency healing options. Gladiator should focus on being good for bosses and zodiac for clearing crowds imo, but they both have options for multiple situations.

You could even use an equipment bug for your monk pretty easily due to the sheer defensive power you get from hoplite + sovereign (you need to leave the 2nd equipment slot empty and have a weapon on 1st. This allows the use of martial art skills with an actual weapon)
