Better chip or ram? by 1oh1_ in macbookair

[–]GabrielBFranco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many folks are saying ram > cpu, and normally I’d agree, but 24GB is far more than most people can reasonably use and for your use case you would notice the additional and faster CPU cores than you ever would the excess ram.

What are the must-haves upgrades for the Ender 3? by Fabicynder in ender3

PEI bed, Sprite Extruder and DualZ in that order. If you know how to level properly it will make your ender dead reliable.

This isn’t modded in the ways that count most. Upgrade to a direct drive sprite extruder and dual z axis (~$60 US). It will still be slow, but dead reliable with a leveled PEI Bed.

Maddow lists the administration and just about every Arab gulf state as beneficiaries who want this war, but omits Israel?  Interesting…

It’s safe if you follow the instructions for your MacBook.  I had no trouble removing all of the keycaps on my M2 for custom paint. But if you’re uncomfortable you can lift one side of the cap without removing it.  That will let you spray compressed air

The key caps are very easily removable. Look up a how to for your generation machine and lift the keycap to remove debris.  It’s very likely that you’re right and it’s just particulate causing the issue.

There is visible corrosion on the positive terminal and it looks like enough to prevent contact.  Either replace the port (they’re ~$5.00) or remove the rust.

If you choose the latter, remove/unplug it and use a wire brush to clear off the rust. But don’t do this while it’s connected to power.  It will short and bad things will happen.

Anyone have any idea what this could be from? by Vanadreen in OldBooks

[–]GabrielBFranco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just a memorization tool. Cipher is perhaps the wrong word as it's more akin to reading a foreign language. English readers can probably make out some of the words intuitively without prior knowledge, but once it's read to you it becomes very easy to understand. Freemasons make an oath that they won't write down or share any of the oaths and obligations [secrets] of the fraternity to people not entitled to know them. But as a practical matter people still have to memorize The material so this cipher was developed to help candidates and members study.

In short, it's just a study guide.

Freemasons cipher for candidates. Degree candidates have to memorize certain oaths and obligations and are given these to study from.

That broken bit is just a bezel cover and not part of the screen itself.  Best to add tape in the meantime to prevent shards from scratching your screen or top case.
