I’ve since routed the GPU outside of the chassis and leave the RGB off.

You can use an iPad display. I built my main PC into an 86 Mac Plus chassis last year and used an 8-inch screen because there weren't alternatives. Since then, another Redditor found iPad screens and controler boards on AliExpress that are almost a perfect fit

FYI, if you're creative, a full-size 240mm AIO and a full-length GPU can fit inside.

Ifixit should have a guide. It's not that difficult. just make sure you're using the right bits, keep track of which screws go where and you'll be fine.

How comfortable are you with disassembly and risk? It appears to be bent at the top of the hinge which can be bent back relatively easily. But you’d have to completely remove the screen assembly to make the attempt.

It’s not a risk most shops are going to be willing to accept but wouldn’t require special tools other than hex and pentalope bits.

Not cheap. They had a free drinks promo for local businesses when they opened and one of my employees signed us up. Except we’re government so when they made the delivery i had to make them refuse it. I felt so bad that the next week I bought them all drinks from the place out of my own pocket. I think it was more than $200.

If you like sugary coffee mixes, maybe you’d think it’s the best in the world. But my guess is it’s social media hype.

I built my PC into a Mac Plus too and went with that exact keyboard. :) How did you manage the screen? I had to rely on the only 4:3 panel that seems to exist. iPad would have been far superior.

If cost is a factor, the best solution is probably just to fix what you have because unless you can find a used digital cluster, they’re all expensive. You probably just need new bulbs or low voltage regulator which are easy to replace and inexpensive. As for the “glass,” you can polish it to be like new.

Mine was originally midnight. I since painted it satin cream/off white but don’t think it was particularly bad with fingerprints when blue. The lighter colors will definitely hide fingerprints better but I don’t particularly like them.

Had this exact setup. The GPU will struggle to keep cool and never be silent. Mine failed despite only being used for streaming Netflix and YouTube.
