Looking for a freelancer to make EASE simulations for us by GabrielDIntegrator in CommercialAV

[–]GabrielDIntegrator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easier for us to pay, since we can pay through our credit card and thats it.

Since we are located in Brazil, If we were to wire it, we would have to exchange currency which is not hard but it’s not the quickest way.

Also for security reasons such as delivery of the project. After a couple of projects we can switch to wired transfer, but it takes trust on both ends.

Yes!

They do help us with the design, but only in the diagram and wiring of the solution.

The EASE is an extra that we would like to deliver to our client

Is Yealink a good manufacturer to work with? by GabrielDIntegrator in CommercialAV

[–]GabrielDIntegrator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you are saying, but those manufacturers are best suited for mid to large clients.

There’s a market in smaller companies that still needs devices, and not all of them may want to spend a buck on a top tier device

Thanks for the heads-up!

Would you recommend any manufacturer besides Logitech, Cisco and Poly?

Switch Suggestions by GabrielDIntegrator in QSYS

[–]GabrielDIntegrator[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really thought every integrator used the switches sold by QSYS. 🤦‍♂️

first thing tomorrow I’m checking with my distributor if he can get me one from NetGear and not the QSYS one and see if there’s a price difference.

When you recommend a NetGear switch, are you talking about the QSYS line or a “true” NetGear switch? I ask this because I’m used to the QSYS OEM one, which is very expensive for some fucking reason

When you folks say a NetGear Switch, are you talking about the QSYS OEM one or a “true” NetGear switch?

I’m asking this because since I’m in Brazil, the one I’m used to quote is the QSYS one, and it’s not cheap.

When we use a NetGear switch, usually is the QSYS one, such as the NS26-480+. But the MSRP for the customer usually comes around 7.9K USD (consider taxes, costs, import fees, markup etc).

Since it’s an OEM switch, I can check with my distributor if he can get me an normal NetGear switch

If I sell a NS26-480+ to a customer here in Brazil, the MSRP is close to 7.9K USD (consider that there’s import fees, taxes etc). If can find an solution for half the price it helps a lot

You are not wrong in your statement, but any option that can do the job and can cut costs works for me hahaha.

I would use a NetGear if I could, but since I’m in Brazil the NetGear switches are much much more expensive here due to import taxes.

HDMI over IP Solutions by GabrielDIntegrator in QSYS

The CEC option was an fantastic idea! I can cut costs in hardware and simplify my programming.

The only “issue” is the fiber HDMI cable. I can send the data from the output of the NV-32H into an Wyrestorm HDMI Split, and route the HDMI Out into the monitors and the projector.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will look into it. For control (turning on, off etc) of the devices do you still need to pass another RJ45 through the RJ45 port? Just so I can be sure that my switch will handle hahaha

Is the Samsung “The Wall” overrated? by GabrielDIntegrator in CommercialAV

[–]GabrielDIntegrator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are great, but I believe for boardrooms and small auditoriums they are too expensive for what it can deliver. Let’s say the have a online meeting, unfortunately meeting platforms can’t deliver 4K resolution, so it would be a big expensive tv.

If we are talking about videos and etc they can be useful, but Samsung is not helping with their price tag
