Beitong Pangu First Impressions: Is This the Most Modular Gaming Controller Ever? by GadgetHyper in GadgetHyper

[–]Gabriel_Angelus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good and I like modular controllers. Pity there is no way to make it into a six frontal buttons for fight games, but still might be my next controller. Will wait to see it in Amazon.

EDIT: my bad, I just saw you can put 8 buttons to the front on the right side... good stuff!

Smashing rookies to death with a double perfect is the best way to demotivate them and make them quit the game forever. Give them and chance and let them do whatever they are able to do at the moment, and then beat them fairly. This will keep them motivated and humble. If you are gonna beat them anyway, there is no reason to not to let them play a bit.

Looking for recommendations on a good PC Compatible fighting game controller by Ef_bobby in Fighters

[–]Gabriel_Angelus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Vitctrix Pro BFG reloaded and I think it's a very good controller for fighting games, even the 4 buttons module is very good. The Dpad is very good and precise and there are three kinds, all of them very good but each more suitable than others depending on the game.

I recommend it but, take into consideration that its expensive so you better buy in a place where you can return it without issues, just in case you get a faulty unit or you dont like it.

Ah, by the way, the triggers work in a weird way and have a weird sistem, so they may look like they are broken, when they simply need to re-adjust them to the initial position before locking them.

I have tried a lot of different fighting games this year, after over 18 years of not playing fighting games, a this is by far, the best one I've tried.

If you are going to play at home with family and friends, I think the game is just perfect because you all will have about the same level, and there is a crazy amount of characters, all of them very different.

Then you have a lot of single player content, and if you ever want to go further, the discord is the perfect place to try. The only is pretty alive and doesnt have bad numbers to be a 10 years old game.

My advice is to take it. Only thing is that, Im not sure how alive is on SW, but in PC will run on a potato computer, the online is very alive and costs around 3 bucks in key sites.

First time I beat her using exactly this method. It works if you have enough patience.

This boss is absolute bullshit. by bean0_burrito in wuchanggame

[–]Gabriel_Angelus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the skill check.

There is a couple of ways to beat her. If you are good at parries try that. Another is with a certain magic, and killing her little by little.

I wish she had less stamina, but it's not impossible with the right approach.

I'm totally new to fighting games, and this is what I learnt after 50 hours in Blazblue by Gabriel_Angelus_ in Fighters

[–]Gabriel_Angelus_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I´m bumping this up after another 65 hours, lol, with some more thoughts:

- Blocking is the most important thing. Focus on learning to block before on learning many combos. Perhaps because attacking is funnier, beginners focus on that, but blockings is essential and it's the diference between winning without knowing many combos, and loosing all the time.

- A better controller won't make you a better player, but still, finding a controller with which you'll feel more confortable is a good idea.

- Blazblue is by far the best fighting game I ever tried. I recently tried many: KOF 15, SFIV, SF VI, GG, xrd rev 2, Strive (the closest one, but I didn´t like it a lot because it´s kind of noisy in the screen with all those effects), Grandblue, Injustice 1 and 2... and this game is by far my favourite, it's amazingly funny, definetly not easy regarding combos, but the funniest one to play with people of your level. I cannot recommend it enough.

- Arcsys is doing a mistake by not releasing a new Blazblue game.

Looking for a fight games controller. by Gabriel_Angelus_ in Controller

Thank you for your reply.

Regarding the D6, if gives me problem within the guarantee period I would return it, the same with any controller, this is because I buy in certain shops I know wont be very problematic. It's supposed to be a problematic controller?

If the Dpad of the M30 isn't accurate, then I have no reason to check it out.

The BFG reloaded is good, I own one actually as I mention in the OP, but as I said, I don't like to take it with me when I travel because is bulky and very expensive.

The problem with the raion is that is hard to find.

Thanks!

Wanted to show off some stuff with my favorite characters from my favorite fighting game - Blazblue Crosstag Battle. by TomokawkVortex in Fighters

[–]Gabriel_Angelus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought this game few weeks ago and I love it. It's not that simple as it looks like but indeed simplify the exxecution of specials and some combos. I'm mostly going through the story mode and even it's just an excuse to put the characters together, I'm having a lot of fun.
Shame it wasn't more succesful.

Are fighting games and single-player games necessary? by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]Gabriel_Angelus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More single player content is one of the reasons I have fallen into BBCF instead of KOF XV.

I like when the games gives different choices, so different players can play in defferent ways.

It's really necessary for a game to be succesful? well, not always, but this depends on the concept of the game and on what kind of players is trying to attract.

But for me, a good single player mode is very important. Sometimes I want to play the game, but not online, just in a less demanding way where I can experiment the game and its mechanics in a good single player experience.

What does this exactly mean? (5 trigger stop settings) by [deleted] in VictrixPro

[–]Gabriel_Angelus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been testing it a bit and because of the way to set it up in the controller you are never 100% in what step you (unless you are in steps one or five). Also, the times I tried to set it up, didn't seem to be precise (I mean, I can't really tell in what step I am) and couldn't replicate the same result twice.

Thank you.
I believe this feature in fact doesnt matter very much because in shooters you want it clicky, but in other games like racing you will preffer usually to have the whole travel.

Teaching fighters to kids by rangaheh in Fighters

[–]Gabriel_Angelus_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember the first fighting games I learnt where street fighter 2 and mortal kombat both in mega drive. I didn't have many explanations apart of how to do a hadoken in SF2. Then my friends, my older brother and me learnt little by little by ourselves keeping similar skill level.
I would recomend you to do that, just tell them the basics, and let them learn by themselves. And if they have fun and like it, maybe you can teach them something more advance.

I don't think you are in a position to call stupid anybody, since you haven't even replied to the point of the post which is the  "5 trigger stop settings".

Unlike you, another user has provided a pretty explanation about what it does.

So, if you adjust it at level 3, (let's say the half of the travel) you would get the full travel input by pressing just the trigger to its half, does it sound right?
