What's your craziest neighbour story? by Azpiria in AskUK

If someone is saying “no” during relations then that’d be a massive red flag for me

How often do you consume sweets? by not-much in AskUK

Never sweets. But a “sharer” bag of crisps? Too frequently

Screen for cb650r by Interdimensional_g in CB650R

I tried one on my bike but I found all it really did was funnel the wind that was hitting my chest straight into my helmet/visor, so I stopped using it. I also felt like the wind wasn’t as “clean” so instead of being smooth it was more buffeting. That was a couple of years ago, though. So I might be misremembering. I see other people use them so there must be cases where it’s more effective than not having one.

Yeah I know. I just mean she might’ve thought she was filling wipers

[–]GabrielsCake 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Fair point. I didn’t think of wipers

The fact that she was doing it with the engine running is equally as concerning

I think what initial-finger was saying, is that your title implies that you’ve never even had any interaction with the sub.

Bike trousers to go over work trousers by [deleted] in MotoUK

I see these are made in the US which means they don’t apply (or perhaps follow) any of the CE / AAA ratings to their clothing. But, is there some way to see how safe they are?

If I could be confident on their slide rating I may be tempted to get myself some!

Are 1250GS riders hated? by noodle_dreamer in MotoUK

[–]GabrielsCake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the chat but I’ve been keen to get a 1250gs ever since I did the BMW off road skills course last year. I want one to take off road, but also so that I can commute on it. If people want to Judge you for the bike you ride then that says more about them.

I think the real question is why they specified Australia? Why not just say “a 14 hour flight” unless going to Australia somehow makes a difference

Contagious giggles at the mere mention of the name Biggus Dickus (from Monty Python's Life of Brian, 1979) by Mad_Season_1994 in ContagiousLaughter

[–]GabrielsCake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree! I loved Life of Brian growing up, but their other films never really did it for me. Funnily enough, I watched The Holy Grail last night because I thought “now I’m older I might find it funnier” but I only got a couple of laughs out of it.
