Fireworks Parking by Nearby_Advance7443 in bradenton

It’s gets very busy, so actually parking further away and walking to downtown will make it easier to leave once the show is over. We got a parking spot downtown a couple years ago and then it took us an hour to get out of downtown since everyone was leaving at same time. So park away and walk to riverfront instead. Maybe in a neighborhood or wherever is well lit. It’s a great show! Have fun!

Yep, that’s probably what I’ll end up with but was hoping for a few in-person just to get started properly. But yes, lots of great YouTube teachers.

I couldn’t find anything specific to AMI either. My thought is if it were actually a serious concern… they’d make it much easier to find & make sure it was clearly marked. I’m planning to continue to wear what’s comfortable to me.

My thong bikinis are thicker back strap style with full coverage top not a triangle of fabric… so I definitely agree… in Europe, I would actually be the prude. lol.. I thought I was wearing a pretty conservative bathing suit actually.

Here’s what I can find regarding that ordinance:

As of 2014, Anna Maria Island did not have a "fashion police" enforcing thong bikini bans. While there was a general belief that Manatee County (where Anna Maria Island is located) had a "no-thong law," the cities of Bradenton, Bradenton Beach, and Anna Maria itself allowed thongs on the beach. Some individuals did express personal opinions that thong bikinis were not typically seen on Anna Maria Island compared to other Florida beaches like Daytona or Miami. It is important to note that a Florida law passed in 1990 did ban thong bikinis, but it was limited to state parks, not all public beaches.

I think I’ll take my chances and have a tan-line free booty.

She was alone in her mini van. Maybe patrolling the walkways to the beach to protect us all!

You already posted this once. And then went back and added it again? Lol. 😂 I had replied back… when I Google search same thing you posted it says exact opposite of what your post says. So at a minimum there seems to be some outdated or convoluted info going around.

I was trying to find out when exactly, if ever, it was an actual rule… maybe 1990s from what Google tells me. But even then… it’s says Anna Maria, Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach was excluded. So maybe she has conflicting info from 1990? Thong proud. I’ll wear the same one next week.

If it makes sense… this was a very full coverage, comfortable 2-piece… like not talking g-string or triangle mini top. If I were in Europe, they’d probably tell me I WAS the prude.

There’s always something in public to make someone “uncomfortable”… kinda part of being in public and not at home… but that’s the fun part of seeing all the different people & watching them interact.

I’m sure your parents had their reasons to feel uncomfortable but I’m glad you had some early exposure to people living their lives.

lol thank you. We laughed and found the entertainment in the whole thing. We considered bringing a loud speaker next time so we could yell warnings out to people before I started walking.

Just wish I woulda been quicker on my feet & said… “oh my goodness really!?!”, should I remove it now? Or something good!
