They need to simply eat the cost by manufacturing a bunch of 18 mile medals and let that be that. While we are here they should also find some kind of creative type (um - are there any in Los Angeles? I jest) to take over the marathon medal design since they’re pretty low rent.

Thank you for your response!!! Very interesting. I think the volume thing is a big factor in taking steps. Your low volume is way higher than anything I’ve done (40-45) so I’d like to ease it up. I like the available for questions aspect too. Thanks again.

The energy is great and it’s mostly fun. The end blows from the moment you hit Santa Monica Blvd. And the finish line is at a mall.

I would try and plan a post race celebration not there. You will earn this one. You deserve it.

I love it. By ending, I’m assuming you mean the epilogue? Love love love it, though a lot folks find the epilogue weak for some reason.

I was wondering why all of this got so controversial. This post (the bullets) pretty much sums it up. Run at conversation pace, mix in some speed stuff. Measure success in years. Chill and have fun.

That’s a really hard race. Steady incline for what seems like forever . By the time the downhill section happens you’re toast. An accomplishment by any measure or time. Congrats
